Seeing as most of us are getting brand new shiny phones tomorrow. I figured it would be neat to compare everyone’s battery health in the device that’s getting replaced. So What is everyone’s current battery health? As in maximum capacity percentage found in settings.

Just list your current iPhone type, how long you’ve had it and your Maximum Battery Percentage.

I’ll start.

iPhone 10s Max
Age: 1 year(preordered at launch last year)
Maximum Battery Percentage: 91%

Literally the same phone as you, acquired at the same time. Andddd exact same battery percentage.

I don’t put much store in the battery health figure as it seems very arbitrary.

But I have a launch day XS. It’s been adequate for the most of the year but in the past couple of months, daily battery life has decreased. I’ve found myself only just getting through weekdays and having to recharge by 4pm on weekend days.

iPhone X
Age: Have had since Nov. 3, 2017 Launch
Battery Maximum Capacity: 87%
Wireless Charging: No

iPhone X
Age: Since launch day (685 days)
Max Battery Percentage: 86%

I'd say I'm a heavy user, at this point my battery doesn't last all day, I usually have to charge towards the end of the day so that it lasts until bedtime.

I guess ours are pretty similar. I thought I was on the lower end.

iPhone XS
Age: Launch day
Max Battery Percentage: 90%
Wired charge 100% of the time

We should also include whether or not you charge wirelessly. I think that's a factor as well.

I do both. Wirelessly charge during day(I drive a company vehicle with a wireless charge holder. And at night I plug into normal lightning.

iPhone X
since launch 11-3
Max Batt: 88%

Fast charge with 30w brick and usb-c
some wireless

Took my dad to DC for his birthday this weekend and had 100% at 8am on a trip to Mount Vernon, looked down at my phone at noon and it was at 22%. I wanted to throw it in the Potomac at that point. I wasn't even using it a ton.

I can't wait to get better battery life out of the 11 Pro...

not sure how this is true but maybe I will test it with the new phone...

taken from the different post "Charging to 100% is your reason why battery is dying so fast. Max charging to 80% is ideal. Ios 13 will have a feature when it will keep the battery at 80% until the phone determines, based on your charging pattern, to charge to 100% just prior to you being active on the phone. If you keep battery between 40-80%, you will extend life significantly. My X after two years is still at 94% and I'm a heavy user. Don't let it drop below 20% either, both extremes are very bad for lithium batteries."

What do you think?

The part about the iOS 13 feature is correct. That has been present in the betas.

iPhone 6s+.

Original battery (never been replaced).
