I’m not sure what you’re asking/saying.

The battery usage of roughly 80% and the SOT of over 10 hours are confined to that period of time between 12AM and 11:59PM. What is not accurate?

Let's assume that the screenshot you posted is today's usage. It shows your battery usage starting from 12 am today. let's assume you charge it overnight. What if you used it a lot last night? And what if you used it past midnight? Say until 1 AM? That extra one hour of usage would show up in the chart, and it's not accurate because you plugged the in after that.

What were your apps that used and brightness level you must be a light user
Mainly web. Carrot, some social media and a radar app as it rained a lot here yesterday. Several calls. I am not a light user. I don’t game. I truly cannot fathom someone being dissatisfied with the battery life of the 11PM. From what I can tell it seems it will last longer, with use, than my IPP 11.

OK, I think I see what you’re saying, but that discrepancy only happens if you’re in the “Last 24 hours” view, which is why I didn’t display it.

If you go into the “Last 10 Days” view and click any of the bars (which is what I did), you only see the statistics (batter usage and SOT) for that particular 24 hour period. In my case, that was Friday 12AM to Friday 11:59PM. All of the usage and drain that you see on the image I displayed is confined to that time period. Anything I did after midnight shows on the Saturday bar.

Additionally, the battery drain is cumulative. If I ran it from 100 to 0, charged it to 20 and ran it back down to 0 within that 24 hour period, it would show that I used 120% of the battery (I have actually done this before).

I agree. But what if you used your phone
Thursday night past midnight? That's what I'm saying. Thursday's usage could be carried over to Friday.

It could (and there’s a good chance it did in my case), but all of it (the usage and the battery drain) is allocated to Friday. None of it would show on the Thursday bar.

In this scenario, if I had used the phone from 12AM to 1AM and drained 10%, put it on the charger until 7AM, then used it from 7AM until midnight (let’s say I had 8 hours of SOT during that period) and drained 70%, what you would see on the Friday bar is 9 hours of SOT (the one hour right after midnight plus the eighth hours after 7AM) with 80% drain in total.

That’s an accurate representation of your entire 24 hour period of usage.

I no longer have iPhone battery anxiety that found me switching to a Huawei p30 Pro. With my iPhone X I never made it through a full day without needing to top-off the battery. With the Pro Max, I usually end the day with 50%+ remaining. While the p30 lasted longer, I'm happy to be back in the iPhone camp.

heavy user here: on xs max I would hit 20% and need to turn on low power reserve mode at the end of almost everyday (around 8pm) on the 11 pro max I've only hit 20% twice in one month.

Why don't you just go buy the phone for yourself and see how good the battery life is? It's crazy to put this much effort into calling every user's bluff on their own personal experience.
He's a Google pixel apologist, that's why.

So, 'screen off' time. What does this actually represent? The phone being completely inactive? If I have notifications popping all night long then this would mean I would have a low screen off time total? It's always under two hours.

Not charged phone since Tuesday 9pm. I've got 13% left currently. Most of what I do is social media related. WhatsApp, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Apollo, Mail, Overcast etc.

Hi, I have a new pro max and it on the second charge cycle.
I’m not convinced about the battery duration.

15h from the cable unplug, 2.20 usage,64% battery.

iohone 11 of my wife, 15h from cable unplug, 2h usage, 80% usage.

Is it ok or was it supposed to last a bit more?

It’s only the 2nd charge cycle. Give it another week and it should be nice.

probably you're right. I've charged my device 3 times, avery time it was around 40/50, so probably i just 1 complete charge cycle. Too short time to judge.

I'm at 25% now and I only charge the phone to 79% I charged on Saturday
