I had bad battery life and figured out both the health app and the reminders apps were draining my battery. Once I launched them both for the first time they finished their setup and my battery has been exceptional! 84% left and I unplugged 14 hours ago.

What's your real SOT. Simple question, simple answer.
20h? Is it 15? Or 12? Maybe 8-10?

Remember the battery is 30% bigger than the XS Max so you should be getting approximately 25-30% better performance

What do you guys measure battery life via screen time or battery section?

As soon as I unplug my phone, I go into the 7 day usage second and click on the current day, note down the usage times, and then go about my day. Every time I wanna see how the battery usage is, I click on today and deduct the usage time I had when I first unplugged it in the morning.

It's a pain, but gotta work with what we have :(

I said I unplugged 14 hours ago, not I have 14 hours of screen time. I was at 2 hours screen time with light use...

Reporting in... AMAZING battery life.

Today off charger for 6 hours. 2.5 hours of on-screen time. 85% remaining.

I was having issues getting all my photos to download on the new phone.. and come to find out the main issue is that the phone isn’t on the charger long enough. I am having to leave it charging overnight, even though it doesn’t need it, to get my photos to download.

The battery on the Pro Max, as plenty before me have already said, is insane. This is the pinnacle of battery life that I’ll ever need to be happy.

Again, can someone point out to me how I can see the total amount of on screen time in Battery settings?

There may be a better way but I use math and very small selections..

Note Last Charge Level Time. Then select each little bar from that time on and note the on-screen time. Add them up.. the sum of these is the on-screen time and the difference in current time and Last Charge Level time is total standby time.

It takes about 3 minutes max.

The battery life of my 11 pro max is no better than my Xs max. I'm thinking i'm going to wipe it and start from scratch.

for me, it is about 2 days (from 7am till midnight each day). I turn on air plane mode when I go to bed. and at the end of the second day, I had about %4 battery left on my phone. for me, it's waaaay better than previous years' models. almost doubled.

Thanks.

I last charged at Tuesday 15:08. But I only charged up to 74% (as had to dash out).

Looks like I have 5 hours 3 minutes of on-screen time during that period. I'm currently at 51%.

Battery life while using is far better than Xs max, but I find standby drain higher in same conditions

I was for sure I wasnt going to upgrade from my XS Max this year but after seeing the photos thread and now about the amazing battery life I may go for it.

Just upgraded from my XS Max to an 11 Pro Max and I don't think Im experiencing the same "amazing" battery like everyone else. Since iOS 13, I noticed my XS Max not getting the same performance and its looking to be the same for 11 Pro Max.

The phone is 3 days old and I've been averaging 1.5-2 hours of on screen time and ending my day around 60-70% battery.

Currently I'm at 51 minutes of on screen and at 88%, very very light usage. Any ideas of how to fix this?

Have you checked the battery section of settings to see if any app draining the battery?

I mean, that's not bad battery life by any means. It's going to go down even when not in use and just on standby. You seem like a light user so it makes sense that you may not see the crazy SOT metrics that some constant users are seeing.

I don't really understand that when others are seeing "2.5 hours of on-screen time. 85% remaining.", "4:45 of on-screen usage and I am at 70% remaining"

Whereas when I'm around 70%, it's about 2 hr on screen

Yeah, but you can't directly compare the scenarios just based on that information alone.

I could take my phone off the charger at 9am and use it until 11am straight through and be at 2 hours SOT, with 85% remaining. You could take your phone off the charger at 5am and use it intermittently until 11am and be at 2 hours SOT, with 75% remaining due to standby being a factor. All the while we are doing different tasks of varying intensities. There are a lot of variables in play for each specific user, but using your earlier scenario where you have 51 mins of SOT with 88% remaining, that's a pace of 7 hours SOT. Not bad at all, and especially if you typically end your day with 1.5-2 hours of SOT.
