I've been on iOS 10.2 public version for a week and it's pretty good... not as great as beta 6 though.

It is I.

The thread title was in all caps so I just played along. :p

Oh, nice. Didn't see that. I have a friend (he's over 40) that texts in all caps no matter what. Every. Single. Time. Drives me nuts. I've tried to teach him cyber etiquette more than once but he's either in denial or doesn't care. Yawn.

Totally demoralized about iOS. My phone has gone to utter sh*t with each update. Bluetooth is sporadic, SMS messages stop arriving until I reboot the phone. And the latest thing (that's brand new with the 10.2 update)- is that the Lock Screen kept turning on and off the whole day and drained the battery (see attached screenshot). When I finally turned off raise to wake- it stopped coming on and off sporadically. The battery showed 68%, when I did that. This evening I rebooted the phone again because my bluetooth stopped connecting to my phone. When it rebooted- it was suddenly at 12%.

This is on the 6s that I purchased brand new March 2016.
Anyone else experiencing Lock Screen battery drain?

I get that iOS 10 is new, and there's going to be problems- but I think I'm going to have to bring this into the store. The phone was perfect for me in iOS 9. Bluetooth always worked.. phone calls never freezed.. battery life was decent.

Here's a screenshot I took about 20 minutes ago...

I dont even know what to day about this update. I installed it and my battery life is done. I am now stuck with the Usage and Standby being equal, batter dies in 1/2 a day. I did a factory reset via iTunes and setup as a new iPhone, no apps, no icloud, just wifi installed nothing configured. Phone charged to 100% and unplugged. Dropped 10% in 1 hr 20 minutes.

Not even sure what to do at this point.

These threads do get tiresome though. Instead of just wondering out loud if battery performance has changed test it yourself, get an app (or website) that has a battery drain feature and test it just before and just after upgrade.

Ah! I know the type. What's surprising though is that even after you talked to him about it, he STILL does it.

Some people are just resistant to change. In one ear and out the other.

Nothing scientific. But feels after day 1 like a huge drop off. Took it off charger this morning at 8. Used for 30 minutes. Idle to 5 at home, the. About 4 hours of misc use and I'm now at 30%. I was getting better before. Sometimes going two or three days between need to charge.

Hello,

After my upgrade to iOS 10.2 on my iPhone 6, I'm experiencing phone shutdowns when it reaches 30% of battery life. There is an ongoing discussion in apple's forum regarding this. This is totally unacceptable.

there's a known battery issue with many of the 6 series phones. There's an active recall going on from Apple for affected units. you should contact them immediately. They have a replacement plan in place

It's way better on my 7. Where I was getting around 17-22 hours of standby I can now use the phone a full two days with the exact same (light) usage!

Are you talking about some 6s iPhones?

Can't recall off the top of my head if it was just 6s or both 6 and 6s. if it's shutting down at 30% all the time, the best thing he can do is call and find out

Yeah, the particular repair program that's out at the moment is just for some 6s iPhones.
