Got mine in November (ordered it before launch day) I have the silver and it has been in a case with a screen protector since day one. It is in mint condition. It is in working mint condition as well. I love my iphone 10

Mine works just as well as when I first got it too, battery's at 100%. I'm really impressed, usually a year makes a difference.

For the first time I'm able to get a new phone every year - if I refresh my (pretty expensive) 2-year contract. This is something I was really looking forward to at first, but now I'm thinking there might not be much point?

Are we expecting much of an upgrade for the Xs/10s/however they decide to market it? I've always avoided the S's because of cost, but they have usually introduced a decent new feature (touch ID, force touch etc).

I feel like this year this might not be the case and the focus will mostly be on the X Plus.

Funny that many people write “Mine is still brand new”, while not mentioning that they put 5 kilo of condoms around their phones.

Go naked or go home :D

As beautiful as it is, I find it too thin and slippery naked. I like the leather case. The extra few millimetres and difference in texture makes it feel more secure and easier to hold.

Mine is holding up great, as I've kept it in a case with a tempered glass screen protector since day one. My battery capacity is down to 96% and I'm debating having the battery swapped before the $29 fee goes back up, since I'll be keeping the phone for another year.

The $29 battery replacement is valid up to iphone 7 I think. You can't do it with the X.

I've had the silver X since January, and I've been carrying it without a case or screen protector, and it looks new. Even the stainless band is still shiny (you have to look really close to see the very tiny scratches on the stainless). Everything, including the buttons, function as well as they did on Day 1.

Not a single scratch or nick, in perfect condition, protected with the leather case. The battery on the other hand is at 93%, bought in december.

Had mine since release and I don’t have any burn in or mushy buttons. Still looks brand new besides for the scratches on the sides.

My SG X is like new - 8 months on from when I got it. Buttons are firm, screen looks fantastic, everything functions as it should.
I have no desire to upgrade it when the new one comes out: I enjoy the form factor and the quality of this iPhone so much.
I've often been a regular upgrader, but not this year...the X has been so good, I have just no desire to change.

I had my silver since the end of last December. I carry it without a case or screen protector (I tried the leather case from Apple, as I had on the 6... but it made an already too bulky phone even bulkier!).
Everything's working perfectly, but the appearance is not holding up nearly as well. The steel band is opaque by now (will maybe polish it up someday) and the back shows scratches from lying on hard surfaces.
I do not think it would be possible to polish the back glass, so it will become pretty ungainly-looking over the next few months.

Silver X still in perfect condition except for a recent scuff on the front screen near the edge. Very light, only see it under certain bright light. Not sure how the hell it happened but it did. Also, the only time I get a scratch on my phone is the only time I use a case on it as well (Apple leather case - electric blue).

Go figure. Whatever. Normal use, can't see it. Been naked always before this and never had an issue. Should have just stayed that way. Im convinced cases make people more lax and carefree.

Got mine naked since launch day.

Hold up great compared to older iPhones, but nothing major. It’s silver and the stainless steel band looks like something from the older iPod Touch, maybe a little better. Back is perfect. Front got scratches, but no broken screen

Recently picked up space gray iPhone X and would like to know how it has been holding up for those who got it at launch day. Has the screen got burn-ins, have the buttons gone mushy? These are things I would really hate to happen.

I've had mine since launch day.

Zero burn in. Zero problems. Love this phone.

(unrelated: this is my 2000th post)

I have had my Silver X from launch day. Its the best iPhone I have ever had, love it. No Screen protector and have used a soft clear case for the phone body. Still in 'as new' condition with no visible scratches to the screen. Love Face ID. At the moment not planning to upgrade in September unless  deliver something compelling. A larger phone will not be enough to get me to upgrade as I love the size of the current X.

I added a red skin to give mine a (Product) RED look alike look. I also have several other colored skins and ordered more cases for mine. I have 18 cases and switch up one every week.

My second Phone X is in 95/100 condition. My first had a faulty lightning connector that was missing one pin, and also had a mushy mute toggle, it was replaced two or three months after launch at no charge, at an Apple store. The second has held up well, but is the glitchiest iPhone I've owned :(. It occasionally fails to detect orientation changes and hangs up in the oddest ways when moving from landscape back to portrait, often the app switcher bar remains on the side of the screen. It gets warm and bogs down significantly when I use my wireless car charger, and I've had occasional overheat warnings. I use mostly tempered glass screen protectors and the Apple leather and silicone cases. I drop my phone a ton, and I've gone through several screen protectors. The Apple cases leaves the bottom of the phone unguarded. I've got a small nick in the stainless band just where the leather case ends that extends up in to the screen a tiny bit. It doesn't negatively impact use, but I sure wish the Apple cases offered some protection below the screen / above the speaker holes.

I miss my iPhone 7+, and the various Plus features it offered, especially increased functionality in Landscape mode (and flawless transitioning between the two orientations). I'd like to replace my X with a Plus model at some point.
