i have 3 in total. An iPad mini 2, an iPad Air 2 and lastly this nice new iPad Pro, all 128GB. I also have the hard to find Pencil. All are LTE versions

My lovely wife thinks I have one too many, and wants me to dump the mini.

What say you!

my usual beloved (and now retired) ipad2 and now my Pro and magnetic clipped Pencil and smart keyboard. should keep me going for another few years. this is my pseudo laptop :)

my ipad2 was cellular. never used it in that respect, but it was useful having gps data whilst out on the road. very useful infact as my satnav in native maps app.

I have an iPad Air 2. I want an iPad pro and pencil as soon as I can afford it.

I personally wouldn't need three iPads but it would be great to have them! It would give me more choices and options. One is enough for me, if I get an iPad pro I will sell the air 2.

Two: iPad Air 2, which I'm trying -- and failing -- to sell on Gumtree, and iPad Pro, which makes the Air redundant.

If I had all three, I'd dump the Air, because the Pro is good for all at-home usage, and the Mini is good for on-the-go.

Or, you know, tell your lovely wife she can have the mini or the Air, whichever one she wants. ;)

Nooo. You cant have too many. Its not possible. In my family there are 4. All LTE, 1 Mini 4, 1 Air 2, 2 Air 1's. Yup I need one more.
You gotta watch those wives, and counter back with how many shoes she actually needs lol.

I gave her an iPad mini 2 Christmas 2014. She loves it. Her Plan has her getting my 128, and us selling her 32

Yes we have 4 LTE's between two of us, and I might loose the shoe argument. I'm diabetic and have sensitive feet, and I change shoes too often

I only have one iPad and it's my very first iPad. Picked up a Pro a couple weeks ago. I got lucky when I went to pick up my online order at the store, they had 1 Pencil in stock. When I originally asked the sales person she said they didn't have any, but when she was going through and finishing up my purchase it popped up on their handheld that they did in fact have one left. So I quickly said I'll take it. It made my day because I was pretty much expecting to go weeks without one.

I've always wanted an iPad but always felt even the 9.7" to be too small. So when they announced the Pro, they finally had the iPad I've wanted for many years.

We either hand down the old ones or sell them (more frequently the former than the latter). Otherwise, we'd have way more than I care to admit lying around!

I haven't gotten around to getting the Pro and I probably won't. We just don't see the point yet as our current iPads work just fine.

I used to have a Mini and an Air. I ditched the Mini because I was really just using it for exactly what I did on the Air. Then I bought an IPP. I sold the Air. So I only have 1 now.

I'd sort of like a Mini again for something really portable but I certainly don't need it. I get by with my 6+ phone if I don't want to take the IPP with me.

I own an iPad Air 1 and an iPad Pro. The iPad Pro was a gift from my former employer before they laid me off.

Currently have IPad Pro, Mini 4 and a seldom used original Air. I've owned previous versions of the mini that I gave to my granddaughter.

I use the Mini 4 a lot since it is so great to carry with me to meetings and for travel. The Pro has impressed me for its power but I still don't have any accessories for it.

4 iPads, all Cellular 128GB:

Mini 2
Mini 4
Air 2
Pro

The Mini 2 serves as a permanent fixture as a GPS in my car (mounted via a ProClip, very stable mount). 128GB is actually kind of overkill for a GPS... Initially I was concerned about space to load offline maps into it.

Only the Mini 4 is a shared SIM with my main cellular plan. As the most portable iPad, combined with long battery life, it makes an excellent WiFi hotspot. The rest of the iPads I attach T-Mobile's free 200MB monthly SIM card to it. It gives GPS and some data in a pinch, without needing to drain battery from my iPhone via tethering.

The first iOS device I ever got was the original iPad, and it continues to be the device from Apple that I love the most. I don't think I've ever not purchased any model of an iPad - this includes the strange hiccup Apple had with the iPad 3 / 4 and the Mini 3.
