I used to have about four or five Classic that I had docked to various speakers, but with AirPlay those are now all in storage as spares. I converted one to use an 512GB SD card that I carry with me to use with my amp and IEM, otherwise I mostly use my iPhone now.

That's Great Alphaod.

LOL we're talking about iPods, not iPads.

Anyway, I bought a dirt cheap 20 GB iPod Photo on a whim last night and it'll serve as a new backup for my classic. The 128 GB upgrade actually didn't work out with the iPod 4G (slapped a 64 GB card in there), so that will go into this one instead. Ordered a new battery too since I don't trust 12-year old batteries.
Oh sorry to say, I don't have any iPods but I want to buy iPods where should I buy those there are many e-commerce websites but I don't have any idea to buy.

I've had a 4th Gen iPod (classic style) with Black & White screen - my favourite; the 6th Gen Classic with colour screen in black, then the final version of the Classic both Silver & Black which currently houses all of my music (except old school Jazz, as it doesn't fit). Had a watch sized nano, which was my watch prior to the Apple Watch, and the silver clip shuffle for the gym. The watch sized nano was awesome as it had the radio on it and could listen to the radio whilst at the football for the commentators calling the game. Internet radio didn't work as well as it was delayed from the game, so kind of pointless. Love that nano.

I don't have one and I am considering to own a iPod Touch. Does it worth?
I own one heavily built iPod classic with the aluminum chassis, which I use in the weight room. (It's sturdy enough to survive having a weight dropped on it), and I own one iPod touch that is my "on-the-go" iPod for walking to work and docking in speakers.

- iPod nano 5th 8 GB used when running
- iPod touch 4th 8 GB used in all other situation

Want to upgrade for more capacity.

But as I’m not in a hurry, I’ll wait for an hypothetical iPod touch 7th rather than buying the 6th. Especially if the 7th would have a better camera.

Lets see--

  • iPod Video (needs battery replacement)
  • first gen iPod touch (fossil, needs battery, and doesn't work with anything since the iOS on it is SO out of date)
  • Green clip iPod shuffle - LOVE this iPod. front button control snapped in half so Im hoping to get a new one for xmas before they disappear.
  • iPod touch (I got it maybe 2011 so I don't know what it is) - battery crapped out, iOS out of date
  • annnnd after they killed off the iPod nano, I asked for one for my birthday and was gifted it early. This was because I learned the hard way that airlines lie about offering wifi, I pay extra for that flight, only to get to gate and be told that "its not offered on this flight" despite specifically having been told it did. No wifi = no apple music and I had a 6 hour flight from HELL with no music to drown out the screaming children and loud conversations in the next row. That nano is the backup plan. Its a shame the sound quality is terrible when I pair it with my AirPods but I'll carry the earbuds with me.

I bought yesterday a nano 7th (16 GB).
It was still sealed and got it for 90€ ($106).

Doubling my current capacity is enough for now.

Maybe three years ago I bought two refurbished 4th gen with 64GB, since no 128GB was available. When the price dropped on the latest iTouch at 128GB, I nabbed it. My first iPod held, if I'm remembering right, 15GB.

Crazy as it is, I was going through a box of things I had packed from my old home office and came across my 6th Gen Black 80gb, and my 7th Gen (supposedly) Black 160gb. I have no idea what to do with either of them at this point. . . thoughts?

If they're not working you can spruce them up by replacing the hard drives with SSDs and putting in new batteries. No reason not to use them even though they're a decade old.

Oddly enough they both work fine. The 80gb needs a new battery, as it only lasts an hour or two,but somehow the 160gb still has decent life. With Apple Music, I don’t know where I would use them.

You can just use locally stored iTunes music, or you can put on an alternative OS like RockBox and you can drag and drop whatever music you want.

I have Original iPod
