Interesting that this thread has been resurrected. I have open opened the poll again. You can change your vote now too, given that some may now have owned more Mac Mini's.

I am still on my second. My first was the 2005 original and am currently using an early 2009 model.

Hundreds. I used to buy 2005 to 2012 makes them better and sell them on eBay.

I own 3 right now. I will use them till they die.
2011---- with 16gb ram a big fusion drive and discrete gpu
2012----- with 16gb ram a big fusion drive the i5
2014----- base model with 4gb ram and a 6gb t-bolt external for my boot drive.

One for me (late 2012 i7 2.3 GHz) and one for my wife (late 2012 i5 2.5 GHz). I just upgraded them with Fusion drives, and for what we do, they're now plenty fast, and probably good for a few more years. The only thing I wish they did that they don't do is support a 4K monitor, because I do a lot of hobby photo editing. Still, I got by with 1080P monitors for a long time, and having a pair of them attached to my mini is fine for now. If I had money to burn, I'd buy a 5K iMac.

In June, 2015 I added a Refurbished MM(Late 2014), 2.8GHZ, 8GB Ram, 256SSD alongside my Refurbished MM(Late 2012), 2.5GHz, 16GB Ram, 500GB HD.

Here's mine:

2007 C2D 2.0
2011 i5 2.3 (parents)
2011 i5 2.5
2012 i7 2.3, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD (current)

Best Macs every made. It cost me very little to keep these running and re-sold them for a very good price.

I've purchased quite a few for myself and family over the years. While the G4 was used a secondary desktop, most were used as HTPCs. I'd use them for a few years and then upgrade them and hand them down to family. Of course, this was before they became even more difficult or impossible to upgrade in 2014. Given that Apple never embraced Blu-ray, DTS-MA, DD-HD, and their HDMI implementation often behaved quirkily, these machines fell out of favor for my use as HTPCs. Sad.

2005 G4 1.5
2006 C2D 1.83
2007 C2D 1.83 x2
2009 C2D 2.26
2012 i5 2.5
2012 i7 2.6

I got my first Mac Mini a few months ago. Even though I bought it used, it works great for my usage. It's a 2012 i5 2.5. It currently has 8 GB of RAM and an SSD, but eventually I plan to max the RAM to 16 GB.

Add another one into my collection. In addition to my old G4, my '09, and my 2012, I just purchased an '06 Core Duo for my parents as a home media server.

In addition, my 2012 i5 was recently traded up to a 2012 i7.
