my co-worker just sent me this text:

"you dooufus! just buy the little iPhone 13 Mini AND the iPad Mini. Problem solved"

she's one of those rare women with both brains AND beauty. 😍 (unfortunately, WAY out of my league)
I did consider that myself. Then I got a look at the iPad mini at the store. It has a horrible screen to my eyes. My 2017 iPad Pro has better colour and a better white temperature. The new iPad mini is Apple selling us lipstick on a pig.

Owning a 13 Pro Max isn't a hard choice at all. Take feel, size and weight, all very minor if not irrelevant, out of the equation. If these factors are so abhorrent causing untold anxiety turmoil, the 13 Pro series isn't for you. Opt for another device wrapped in bubble wrap with a plastic frame and display.

Functionality, speed and performance of the 13 Pro series are all extended with the larger battery and the overall experience is more emersive with the larger negating the need even for the new iPad mini. My 13 Pro Max is in an Otterbox Defender Pro case and is easily pocketable and adds virtually no weight and has excellent grip.

Loved the Pro... but now that I'm reading more, I'm finding Kindle may be better on a larger screen. Also, since I'm not traveling as much, having a larger phone probably isn't a big deal as before when we had to go into the office.

Didn't even look at the pro, $150AUD more and you get the max, bigger screen/better battery, no brainer.

How are you 13 Pro owners liking the cameras? Are they as sharp and clear and good in low light as advertised?
I am on the fence about ordering one now through my carrier- $300 off if I order by end of day today, and they are actually in stock! I love the mini form factor (I have a 12 Mini), but am really wanting to try the Pro as I've never gone top of the line before.

yeah but carrying it around! A pain, lol... I just don't like the "saggy pockets"... with the Mini and the Pro to me the trend seems smaller, not bigger.. and the regular 13, that makes 3/4 of the phones regular or small size. I am curious to see apples sales figures. I am pretty sure the Pro way outsells the Max, every time at the apple store there are NO pro cases and TONS of Max cases... don't get me wrong, max is great, just too heavy... and causes saggy pants LOL!

I think its quiet good! I had the max before and think the Pro is just as good.

I don't and I don't know anyone that needs to walk around with a phone in their pocket all day lol

I had trouble deciding so I used both for a few weeks. I love how the pro fits in my pocket and it’s nice to hold one handed, but when I’m actually using it I miss the screen size of the pro max. The pro max is kind of big in the pocket but it’s nicer to use and I can still hold it in one hand if needed. I also prefer two handed texting on the pro max. And the battery life is obviously nicer on the pro max.

I ultimately decided on the pro max because I found myself mostly wanting the max when I used the pro, but rarely wanted the pro when I was using the max.

This was my exactly conclusion. I had both the Pro and Max side by side for 2 weeks trying to decide. I literally lost sleep thinking about it but ultimately chose the Max. Coming from a 11 Pro Max and XS Max before that everything on the Pro screen seemed "small" to me. I loved holding the Pro its WAY more comfortable to use but doing my daily tasks (texting, email, social media, watching Youtube) I missed the bigger screen. The Max is obviously more cumbersome and heavier but I think I'm willing to make that sacrifice for that screen and battery life.

I also spent about 2 weeks deciding coming from an 11 Pro Max. I ultimately went with the 13 Pro and have been extremely happy with my decision. Im always on the go and I use my phone one handed quiet a bit so it has been an improvement for me on that. When I purchased my 11PM I used to watch a lot of videos and consume a lot of media on it but my lifestyle has changed since and I barely use my phone for shows or media anymore so this made sense. With that being said every time I picked up the 13 Pro Max the screen made me a miss it a little but the quality of life of the smaller device has been huge for me and Ill stick with that. Theres no right answer both are great it just depends on how you move and what you do for work in my opinion. Im in cosmetic manufacturing walking around a lot and moving all day writing emails on the go so this fits my needs. If I was at a desk or worked from home I would probably stick with the Pro Max. Both are amazing!!

Max here.

Both the Pro and Pro Max are two handed phones for me. So why not get the one with the bigger screen and battery for just $100 more?
Cant argue with this mentality if thats the case but having big hands I can use the pro with one hand easily, the max not so much so it does really depend on a lot of factors based on each individual. I use my phone with one hand 60% of the time so it makes more sense even though I wish I could use the Max because the battery alone is worth the extra $100 to me but to me at this point the size of it outweighs that.

Pro is one handed. I have both. Max is u much more difficult.

It's all personal preference and a trade-off between large size/battery.

The larger size has never bothered me as I have been used to two-handed operation with my Blackberry 8310 which definitely had a much smaller form factor.

The longer battery life extends the functionality and performance of the 13 Pro series.

For both of these reasons, I am willing to make the trade.

This is such an age old debate now. Going back to the 6 Plus. But at least then the Plus phones were clearly superior in their specs. Not so much now so it truly comes down to user preference. If you crave battery life then the Max is probably the answer. They're both damn good phones and the only clear winner is one which you prefer to use.

Personally, if I wanted a Pro iPhone, I'd pay the extra 100 for the Pro Max. Only reason not to is if you don't like the bigger size or it's uncomfortable to hold.

It was easy for me. I had the 6 Plus and 7 Plus, wife has the XS Max. I don't like the bigger form factor, went back down in size when I got the XS and was perfectly happy with it, so I stuck with the 13 Pro. I'm 6'6" with big hands, and still like the smaller form factor better - easy to one-hand, smaller and more convenient to carry around. I don't consume a lot of video content on my phone, don't need the extra battery life of the Pro Max (the Pro easily gets me through a day), and there's no camera upgrade in the Pro Max over the Pro this year.

Can you use the 13 Pro Max with one hand (for example for texting) as with the 13 Pro?
