Family plan
- two lines, iPhone on one, dumb phone for $10 on the other
- grandfathered unlimited data plan for the iPhone is $30
- 550 shared minutes with rollover accruing to 2k minutes i think it is.

The total bill is around $105.

I keep the 2nd line in case I want to upgrade iPhone 2 years in a row.
I'd have to add a $20 data plan next year if I take the 6 on the 2nd line.

So that would make it $125 plus tax on the added dataplan's $20.

Lately I've been thinking to drop smartphone next time its contract ends, just get iPad cellular and take cell service on demand if I'm travelling that month. Drop that iPhone's line. Upgrade the dumb phone's line to a newer dumb phone and drop the plan down to Senior 200 or whatever. But you know, if I really like the 6 then I might not implement this idea until the 6's contract is ending! Have a feeling I'm the type of old geezer that will eat peanut butter less often and on fewer crackers in order to support my iPhone habit...

Fido Canada
Paying $38 after tax
Details about plan below:

How are you getting it for so cheap? I pay $65 plus tax so $77ish and my plan is similar, just with visual voicemail and 6GB of data.

I do like Fidos service though.

When I was on contract with my iPhone 4, I was paying £35 a month (£35.74 after the VAT increase) for 600 mins, unlimited texts, 500 MB data and unlimited wifi (for the year or so of the contract that it actually worked.) 16GB phone and with O2.

That's cheap. I've got the same thing with 2 of the phones on unlimited and the 3rd on 2mb $25 plan and I'm right at $197/month with a FAN?!?

yeah I've been w/ AT&T for a while and got this deal when a friend still worked there.

honestly the main reason I'm still with AT&T cause I can't find anywhere else to get an iPhone w/ unlimited everything for $50-$55 a month.

Denmark

Here in Denmark I use a carrier called Oister which is a part of 3.

I pay 99 DKK (roughly 17.65 USD) for...

3 hours of calling
Unlimited texting (sms and mms)
6 gb of data

£15 / $23 p/m on 3 in uk

2000mins
5000sms
Unlimited data 3G / 4G (when available)
Tethering unlimited
No speed caps
100GB FUP
But p2p throttling

$60

At&t GoPhone. 2Gb of LTE data, unlimited talk and text.

About to switch to AIO wireless prepaid:

$70, 7Gb LTE data, unlimited talk and text.

They also use At&T's LTE network.

I buy my phone's full price unlocked to have flexibility. The new prepaid deals are fantastic and will only get better!

Found your post interesting & your location even more so. I have to ask, how is service in & around the city w/ GoPhone's LTE ? Have you switched to the AIO plan yet ? Thanks in advance

At&t 4 lines, 1 iPhone 5, 1 iphone 4S (only a month old - long story), 2 iPhone 4's (hand-me-downs to the kids).

$250 a month. Blatant ripoff. The kids are off contract so I'm thinking about putting their lines on straight talk at $45 a line.

$99 for 2 lines, both mine so I can upgrade every year (way better idea than AT&T Next IMO). 2GB data plan, unlimited messaging, and the lowest talk plan. 24% corporate discount.

T-Mobile

$35
2000 Anytime Minutes
Unlimited Text
Unlimited Data, w/Tethering & Mobile Hotspot (soft cap of 5GB)

Great plan, only thing that sucks is paying full price for phones. So I will be kicking out $759+tax for the 32GB 5S.

Verizon

Unlimited Calls
Unlimited Text
2 gb shared data
2 Lines and 1 iPad
25% Fan

$150 After taxes

AT&T starting to look attractive again...

AT&T GoPhone:

iPhone 4S
$25 per month
250 minutes
Unlimited text

Data sold separately, whatever I don't use for the month rolls over to the next month if I add $5 extra.

Yeah I love Fido. I've been with them for 6 or so years. I have a corporate plan under my company so the "Credit" sections reveals my discount which turns out to be around 50%. Good thing you didn't wait till they turned over the 2 year plans eh? You would've been screwed! $75 and only 1GB of data:mad:

ATT Family Plan

ATT Family plan
550 total minutes (only use ~75min/mo.) with unlimited/useless nights & weekends
iPhone 5: 200 texts for $5, unlimited data
iPhone 4S: 200MB for $15

Total w/ government discount: ~$104/mo.

Verizon

2 iPhone 5's

Unlimited Talk + Text (Use about 50 mins a month, and 90% of sent texts are through iMessage)
6GB Shared Data (Usually use 3-5 GB between the both of us)

21% discount

~$153

This is in Los Angeles, thinking about switching when my contract is up next year but I don't really know how the service is with other companies. I've always had Verizon.

Sim-only 30 day contract with Three, £10 a month

100 minutes
3000 texts
1GB data

I don't call anyone, I only really use iMessage and I'm on WiFi most of the time I'm browsing. Also includes tethering so I can make use of the internet on my WiFi iPad mini when I'm outside of the house or at college.

It's all I need and it's cheap as chips. Would rather splash out on a device than a rip off contact.

Verizon:

700 shared minutes
unlimited texts
Two iPhones w/ grandfathered unlimited data
an Android phone with 2GB of data

After company discount plus taxes and fees = $190.
