6GB of data, 1500 minutes and unlimited text messages. Whilst it’s a pretty good package for the price, the trick is to start on a low tariff and haggle it down each year.
People seem to rarely call nowadays, everything is texted over WhatsApp, and I’m sure free WiFi is available in most spaces so I reckon people’s usage is far below what they think.
Each to their own, but mobile networks are just cash generators. They don’t offer anything special between them so I struggle to see why people spend so much on contracts.
Usage varies from person to person based on different needs and wants. And on top of that the availability of actual offerings from carriers and the carriers that provide the needed coverage plays a big role in it all as well.
Incredibly jealous of those who get it paid for them by where they work.

Yes I agree with all of the above.
But you can’t deny without ignorance that even getting 10GB odd data a month can be achieved for roughly £10 to £20 a month. I use just about 2GB a month myself.
I’ve seen ‘deals’ for 50, 60 or even 70 pounds a month. Crazy money.
In the states on a family plan it’s about $35-$40 / line with unlimited everything. For instance we have a 5 line plan and with taxes and fees it’s $172 / month.
Does that include a number with talk and text? Because You’re getting more data than me for cheaper even though I’m using the cheapest plan I could find for the most data.

Mint includes talk/text on their plans - it's a T-Mobile MVNO where plans are often sold in "bulk" of 3, 6, 12 month blocks. What carrier/plan are you on?
Am still with Sprint. When I got my first iPhone (a 4S) at launch back in 2011, i believe I moved up to the now-discontinued “Everything Data 450” plan (with unlimited 3G/4G LTE data). Got grandfathered into that and am still paying about $73-75/mo (with a work discount) after all this time
Depending on where and what's available and the coverage that might be needed, it's hard to say one way or another, especially speaking worldwide.
Ah, I feel like they've been tinkering with plans/data as a whole…and Ultra owns Mint, which makes it even messier!

I'm so jealous of people who live in Europe. You guys have the best prices for plans.
The U.S. is a lot different. Unless we pay for a phone outright or get a $0/month phone deal then we will be paying between $60~$120 a month. Since I have a total of 4 lines which includes 4 payment plans (2 phones, 1 tablet and 1 smartwatch) it costs a lot more than usual.
Even without payment plans or anything like that things are still more expensive than something like $10/month.

when I was living in Ireland, I used to pay 20€ per month for unlimited text/voice/data.
Now in Singapore I pay 25 SGD (16.5€) for 1000min/SMS/ 30GB per month. It’s cheap! I use 5GB max per month.

I bought some kind of deal with the plan I have now. Buy 6 months get 6 free. I received an email the other day saying my 6 free months were now activated but I’m my ultra mobile app they haven’t been added yet.
I'm with Verizon, with a brand new IPhone 11 in green with a Series 5 LTE Apple Watch for my wife. We have the Verizon Everything Plan with Unlimited Phone, Data, Text and everything else this and unlimited that. After the Phone and watch are paid off, I will be paying $70.00 a month which I prefer the idea of no limited talk or the chance of running out of minutes.
