I was thinking of MobileTerminal, didn't know that it was incompatible with iOS 5.0.1. Just gotta wait for it to be updated or just install OpenSSH to change the passwords then uninstall it right after I guess.

MobileTerminal is compatible, just not the original one. Look for the one that says (New) next to it and you'll be fine.

Yes, but the original version is 364.1-10 which for some reason is still available for download. The updated one works great. :)

The one in the standard set of sources that comes with cydia is not compatible on 5.0.1. If you know where a secret working version is I'm sure we'd all like to hear about it.

What exactly does ad blocker do? Also is there any good apps to keep people from going thru ur stuff?

It blocks ads in Safari, which will speed up browsing a little. It's overpriced, in my opinion.

Yeah, putting a password on your phone should suffice. Also changing your root password on your phone will prevent people from accessing your device.

Ask yourself this:

How do you know what the jailbreak did? How do you know it didn't install malware on your phone, in addition to jail breaking it for you?

I'm not saying it did, but the fact is, you don't really KNOW for sure what the jailbreak did.

Entrusting sensitive information to a jailbroken phone is not really prudent.

WOW !

Paranoid much ?

I am honestly surprised you even use any mobile device (just saying)

Google for it.
It is readily available for DL as a .deb file

Research, references, etc. I bet you didn't know extraterrestrials worked (and most likely still do) with our government. One agreement was they could do you human experiments on humans (look At some abduction cases. They're always kept on the down low, but they're all very similar in what is described) as long as they didn't harm them, and in return they would give technology advancements.

Take a look at 13 evil experiments we have done on humans(with credible sources) http://strangetimes.com/story/18508/the-13-most-evil-us-government-experiments-on-humans

Anyways back on topic lol

JB or not, you assume a risk regardless. For example when you log into Facebook automatically, that exposes a cookie that may be intercepted (esp if you're on WiFi) that someone else could use. Charlie Miller has already proven that the App Store isn't flawless in keeping boobytrapped apps out.

Let's face it, the Apple App Store has a lot of junk apps especially when it comes to tools and utilities compared to what Android has available. JB and the availability of apps outside the App Store has somewhat evened out the playing field in that respect IMHO.

Cydia or App Store, I've purchased many apps I felt were really useful and I want guys like Jay Freeman to continue doing what he's doing so that all of us can continue to enjoy the stuff Apple says you're not allowed to on your own phone.

What happens after a jailbreak in regards to the Apple hardware encryption that certain iOS and 3rd party apps can take advantage of? Does that work the same as before the jailbreak?

lol @ all the "change root password" posts after the first one.

btw op, itll all be good if you change the root password
