So i found that I kept having the desire to purchase apps..but didnt want to dish out all the money for them..it even crossed my mind to jailbreak my phone so i could install .ipas manually for free, but i realized that developers spend a lot of time and effort to make apps so i didnt want to take away from the compensation they deserve! SO i did a simple search on ebay for itunes gift cards..i scored a $100 gift card for $43 bucks! basically, all the apps that i buy are less than half price for me..i just thought i'd share since most of us here are probably on the same boat regarding purchasing apps, especially since we dont know if we'll like them or not!

^im sure you could save a lot by getting gift cards through ebay..im surprised more people dont do this..just make sure you purchase it from a reliable seller and you'll be alright..and even if someone tries to swindle you, paypal has your back

I bought a $200 for $90 and had no problems with the transaction. Gift cards and certificates are commonly given away as swag for events/conventions. I figure some these may be from those sources.

Used the same link and also got my code within minutes. $200 for $85, can't beat that at all.

Live search cash back program offers 30% off if you got through there search engine. If you guys are going to use the above link you should use this to get an extra 30% off! Bringing you all the way down to $60 for a $200 gift card!

Techound gives a great tutorial:

This may be more step-by-step for you:

1. Visit Microsoft Live Search: http://www.live.com
2. In the Live Search box, enter your search for a product.
3. Click on any eligible eBay-sponsored ad. This brings you to the eBay site.
Important: Your cashback offer will be good for 60 minutes from the time you click the ad and arrive on eBay.com. You must complete a purchase on eBay of any eligible items within 60 minutes of clicking the ad. For definition of eligible items and conditions, see Terms of Use.
4. Look for your cashback rebate percentage at the top of the eBay page.
5. After you purchase an eligible item and pay for it with PayPal, go to My Messages in My eBay for an email with instructions on how to claim your cashback.
Important: You must click the Get cashback button in the email.
6. You now need to use the link in your My Messages to link a PayPal Account with your Microsoft Rebate Center Account. Once you have linked these accounts, it may take a few days for the eBay purchase to be seen in your Microsoft Rebate Center account.
7. Microsoft will deposit your cashback redemption into your PayPal account 60 days after the eBay transaction has successfully completed including payment. Once payment is requested, it may take up to 14 days to show up in your PayPal account.

For those buying gift cards, does the credit that gets applied to your account have any sort of expiration? I wouldn't want to spend money on it, only to be forced into having to spend it within a certain time frame

Do you have a page that states that iTunes gift cards are ineligible? I've seen from the live cashback page that gift cards in general work, at least, plus eBay showed the amount that I would be getting back, though I don't have a message about it yet.

In any regard, earlier I bought a $200 card for $85 via another seller and just received my code via email- entered it and it worked like a charm. Very nice price, and if the cashback does go through, then that'll come out to around $61... definitely can't beat that.

okay people, i've heard that the live.com 30% off deal WILL work with itunes gift cards on ebay

ive seen a $200 itunes gift card for $85

after the 30% cash back, it'll end up costing around $59.XX (lets say $60)

so...DO THE MATH

60/200 = 3/10

meaning you only spend 30 CENTS for every ONE DOLLAR that you spend on itunes

for example..a $20 application (like beatmaker) would cost you $6

i cant think of a better deal!

You think thats funny? I've seen gift cards sell for more than what they are worth. Figure that one out!

Check this out.
http://cgi.ebay.com/200-00-iTUNES-G...39:1|66:2|65:12|240:1308&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I think the seller feedback page might be interesting:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&myWorld=true&userid=spoolin414

The seller seems to have suddenly started selling these $200 iTunes gift cards just a few days ago. That doesn't necessarily say anything, but it is interesting anyway.

Although I went to eBay through the Live Search page and saw the 30% cashback mention all the way through the payment screen, I still haven't received the message from Microsoft about my cash back... does that message not come for a while to ensure that the transaction isn't canceled, or how does that work? I'd love to get the 30% back, but even paying $85 for a $200 card is a great deal.

Live says that:

You may receive Cashback Rewards for up to a maximum of twelve (12) Online Sessions per account on http://www.eBay.com. Once you have completed twelve (12) Online Sessions under any eBay.com account, you will no longer be eligible to receive Cashback Rewards for purchases made under such eBay.com account. ;

Does this mean we can get 30% off for 12 purchases?
