$200 itunes gift certificate for $75 - ebay

I tried to go in under http://www.live.com and never saw any message about rebate. But I did find a $200 itunes certificate for $75. Got the code within an hour and it worked great! Wish I had found this about 2 months ago!

Thanks.

This is what I saw at the top of the page, and then when I was going through checkout at PayPal, it had a box that showed how much the purchase qualified for

Having said that, it's been over 2 days now and I don't even see a mention of my cashback amount in my pending area on the Live search site. I'll probably contact them tomorrow and see what's up with it.

No live.com account set up

That is probably where I went wrong....didn't sign up first. Oh well...live and learn. Thanks for the response. I am still happy with my purchase...

I didn't see the ebay sponsored ads when I searched for "itunes gift card" but I did when I searched for "apple gift cards" or just "gift cards".
Click on the ebay sponsored cashback ad, you should see the small green cashback banner throughout the purchase. Once the purchase is completed, it didn't take too long for me to get a message in the ebay inbox about the cashback. I clicked on it and created a Windows Live account. It says it will take a couple of days for the purchase/cashback item to show up on the Live account. Then I think you need to wait 60 days before you can tell Microsoft to actually send you the money. BTW, I believe the condition also says you need to make your purchase within 60 minutes of searching for the item.

So I got the itunes code from the seller, but when I entered the code, I get "This certificate must be enabled by the iTunes Store Customer Service."
Has anyone experienced something like this?
iTunes Store CS seems to be only reachable by email and takes 24-48 hours. I contacted the seller and the person hasn't responded yet either. I also noticed the sell took down the item listing completely from ebay, so I can't contact the seller in ebay because of "invalid item". WTF?
Don't tell me I got ripped off with a bad code? ???

Which seller did you buy from? The fact that it says the certificate isn't enabled by the iTunes Store Customer Service sounds suspiciously like the person was just trying to sell gift cards that had been stolen and didn't realize they had to be activated at the cash register during purchase...

well obviously, I'm sure 90% of them are bought with stolen credit cards.

you CANNOT use a Canadian iTunes gift card to purchase apps! so buyers beware! i had to learn this the hard way... so whatever you do, find a US gift card and pay a little more for it.

bumping this thread just to clarify something. I think the eBay cashback is officially dead now (I tried to use it again on a non-gift card purchase last week but couldn't find a live search link to get to eBay)

at first when I bought my gift card I wasn't getting a message from Microsoft in my eBay messages about it, although I did receive an email. Finally after a few days I got the message on eBay and I requested my cashback. it had been marked as "pending" for a long time ever since. Finally today I looked in my checking account and saw that the cashback finally went through, which netted me a $200 iTunes gift card for about $60. not bad at all
In case anyone else had managed to use ebay for cashback, keep checking your account. Mine took a long time but finally went through

it still works, but now at 25% instead of 30% off. just go to live.com and search for a product like the game Halo...

ah nice.. I wonder if it went away and then came back over the last couple weeks. I tried a bunch of search terms and couldn't find ebay in there anywhere, but now trying some of the same ones I tried, it comes up.

I just bought a $200 card for $70 a few minutes ago. I'll come back and post if it works or not. It better work though...

Also, I searched through Live and even had my cash back account set up before searching but I saw nothing about a discount. Was eBay pulled from this deal?

did you get an email from ebay? check your ebay messages. it still works for me. i bought a $200 gift card for $55, minus 25% cash back is $41.25. make sure you have a paypal account linked to ebay and live cash back program and that you used it on a buy it now item.

I purchased a $200 off ebay and just used the 10% off ebay coupon that I received in the mail...

My first code applied, then erased and I was getting an error message saying my credit balance could not be accessed.

After much ado, the second code the seller sent me was invalid.

However, the THIRD code the seller sent me worked perfectly. My account has a non-expiring $200 balance, and I have already used it to make purchases.

I think my experience was the exception, most people don't have any troubles with these ebay gift cards.

Did you just buy the itunes giftcard from ebay? or did you have to search for the itunes giftcard on http://search.live.com/cashback 1st? I am trying to decide whether I should use the 10% coupon or just buy the card and hopefully I get the 25% cashback. Problem is I dont see anything anywhere about a 25% discount.

so they don't even need to send you the card? They just e-mail you the activation code to use on itunes?
