I’m not even going to read into this to much, and I will give it a few days to calibrate...but so far my battery life on my X coming from a 7plus is pretty dam crappy!

Yea Yea it’s a smaller phone, it uses a power efficient oled screen, Yes I have heard it all before and guess what? My battery life sucks the last few days. We’ll see by this time next week to really make a hard line decision.

So far so good. Turned the phone on around 12 yesterday afternoon. Battery was at 80%. Went to sleep last night and it was at 49%. Brightness set to 0, Airplane mode on overnight. Batteries at 46%. There is battery drain overnight, but feel that's entirely due to daylight savings.

So I opened the X Friday, knocked around with it, think it was about 65% or so. Went out with an initial clean setup, later in the evening on Friday I did a backup/restore, plus a full charge (phone reached 100%, some folks have said theirs won't[?]) Saturday it did get plugged into my car for CP, short trip, like 15 minutes, but no other charging.

Anyway, wanted to run it down to shut off, so since that full charge on Friday (and the small little charge bump in the car), I haven't charged it again. So here we are on Sunday morning, I'm at 8% with Usage at 6h 41m and Standby at 23h, 40m.

OK, just did a ton of AirDrops (clearing out photos from a 3rd party app), now I'm at 3%, Usage 7h, 3m / Standby 24h, 25m :D

1% Usage: 7h, 18m - Standby: 24h, 50m

OK, my 1% held out for a while :D Last reading before it shut down was:

Usage: 7h 30m
Standby: 25h 22m

(I'd image it's a touch higher, I didn't see the last info while it idled into shutdown ...)

Interestingly, at some point while it had 1%, FaceID shutdown, not like it wasn't working, like it was "switched off", no attempt, just immediately threw up the passcode screen. Maybe due to the power needed it's some kind of failsafe to prevent an erroneous reading[?]

I’m loving it. iPhone 7 is normally dead by 6pm and I got till 1.30am. I switched briefly to the S7 last year and I’d say the X is on a par with that ( if not better)

I'm with you. Day 1 I had crazy good battery life, and I was using it alot... Day 2 it was complete crap and made me want to go back to my 6S+

Highly unlikely that you’ve been using it for 17 hours straight and are still at 23%...
Depends on what you’re using to be honest. I can go 3 days on a single charge if I used the device minimal and turned my work email off. Point is not everyone’s usage is the same.

Mine doesn't seem that great. It's not bad, but it's pretty on par with a 2 year old 6S+. I was hoping for better, especially with OLED

About the same as on my Plus, honestly. Also haven't had it many days to properly tell you.

when I plugged my phone in to charge and update the OS (wifi was flaky at home tonight), it wouldn't get further than 76% - so I think I'm going to let it drain and then do a full charge.

Great so far. I come from a 6s and I had to buy the fugly battery case for it. The X has been very good so far. I’m surprised at how many people saying it’s not good.

Tomorrow will be my first normal day of usage and being on my routine charging schedule so I am very interested to see how it does.

Why when i look at my usage and standby it doesn't say anything??

Because you probably turned the phone off at some point. That resets the battery usage times. Charge it back to 100%, it’ll show up then.

OK, I thought a second day update might be helpful, so my post above was about 10:20a yesterday, I charged from then to about 11:45a when we left, phone was at 100% again (as expected). Last night we streamed a couple of hours of TV from it (dammit AMC, where is your AppleTV app!?), and otherwise it was mostly my typical afternoon of usage.

So let's see it's 12:37p, current stats:

Current power: 32%
Usage: 9hr, 16m
Standby: 24h, 4m
