2 hours only? Whoa.

Yes, unfortunately. Sometimes I see 2.5 hrs but that's rare. Not to mention it's I only make it to about 5 or 6 pm before it's dead. I know apples usage times aren't the same as screen on times but they're surely not 8 hrs apart.. I hope

Did you try putting a new battery in? Also, you might want to alter the settings and install one of those auto app-killing apps. My dad's using a more than a year old non-LTE version of the GS3 and his battery definitely last much longer than 2 hours.

I'm now getting between 8 and 12 hours of usage and about 1 day of stand by with around 30% of battery left.
You guys should visit an Apple Store. Your battery life seems so ridiculous.

I've tried everything. I'm rooted running KitKat. Battery life is better than touchwiz (which is terrible IMO) I've got a custom kernel and everything and nothing makes it decent. I've got 3 batteries and none of them make it better either. Luckily my contract is up in less than a month and I'm getting a 5s for myself. :D

Not at home (and with better network coverage)
25% screen brightness
LTE
Location Service
Usage: Mostly whatsapp, Facebook messenger, some browsing with chrome, 2D games, ...

With worse battery life update over update I took my ip5 to Genius Bar this evening
He did a diagnostic and showed me my battery has failed. On a x y graph my battery was in lower left red quadrant and below 70%. Surprising considering it's just a yr old and my old ip4 still runs great
So they put in a new battery n I waited 45 mins
Will see how long this lasts

Sorry didn't see title of thread for iPhone 5s. Fuzzy eyes tonite

Got my phone a few days ago and the result of my first real 100% to 0 full discharge was about 9h 20min usage with 2 days 2h standby.

I have all locations services turned off except Waze and foursquare. All emails are on manual fetch. Siri is off and background usage is also all off. I'm not sure what's causing the drain :( I'll pay a visit to the apple store this weekend to check.

I know this isn't an iPhone but do you think one day we'll see iPhone battery life like this?? I certainly hope so.

I don't know what it is but I've always had problems with the Facebook apps, even now that it isn't causing me any problems I'm always cautious to update it.

I'm on my phone quite a bit, but I don't really play any games. Lot of reading and streaming music and podcast, YouTube, and other media apps. A few calls here and there texting throughout the day. Photos etc.

Image

Ringer: silent most or the time
Brightness: 20-40 auto
GPS: only on for a handful of apps/ iAds off
Wifi: always on
BT: only when needed/wanted
Notifications: only a handful show unless phone is unlocked/ no repeat as I check my phone often enough
Mail: push is only on for my professional account, fetch hourly everything else
Background refresh: handful of apps
Active apps: I always close anything I'm not using

I still think if your not getting at least 8-9 hours of reasonable/normal use something is wrong. On all my I devices if I don't get at least one hour for every 10% of normal use I look at taking it back if a fresh install or setup doesn't work.

Are you in an area with a consistently good cellular connection?

Yep, I do. Screen and processor technology continue to get more efficient. If Apple is indeed creating a bigger screened iPhone, that means more room for a bigger battery. I wouldn't expect battery life at the levels in your screenshot anytime soon, but maybe somewhere in the 4-5 year range.

Hey guys,

SO this is how mine looks i see that my battery drops 1% down every 2-3mins without doing anything like jus being on the home screen. I am really worried. Can anyone tell me how does this stats look like.

And you have almost two days of standby, I wouldn't worry about that.
