When that thing was booting up the guy kept saying how fast it was booting. I timed it at over 30 seconds from the time he said he pushed the on button until the mainly blank screen came up that he said showed it was finished booting.

That's fast? My iPad is instantaneous from the time I push the either key to when it comes on.

A button to turn on the keyboard and another for Control/Alt/Delete. Archaic, last century, typically old school Microsoft.

I wonder how much Virus Protection will be needed and how much memory it will eat up and how much Crapware will come preloaded that will have to be removed to free up some memory. Since it runs Windows 7 some virus protection will be needed.

Last century software loaded onto a second rate piece of poorly thought out and poorly designed hardware. Not very serious competition for the iPad.

Are you aware of the difference between startup and resume from standby?

After a fresh boot, start-up from standby worked OK on my XP laptop. However after using it for a few days and getting a decent amount of stuff running the time to come out of standby got a lot longer. At times it was taking over a minute before it was ready for use again.

In comparison my iPad is always ready for use a second or two after pressing the power button. It doesn't matter how long ago the last reboot was or what I've been running recently. That's what I mean by being designed to be left in standby.

Got it. I had a vista laptop that didn't have that problem (other than being vista).

Any tablet that needs a dedicated Ctrl-Alt-Del key is already fail. The companies ALREADY knows you will need to use that key, and it ALREADY knows the computer will crash. Windows and tablets don't work, Windows has been around forever and hasn't produced a single good tablet.

when i see that It makes me think of VNC and Remote desktop apps on the ipad. imagine doing EVERYTHING in one of those? hell. Screw windows on a tablet. so unresponsive and laggy. Im not saying the ipad doesnt have room for improvement but that thing is months away and the ipad with 3.2 is already leaps and bounds better.

First explain how cntrl+alt+delete makes sense when saying that they know Windows will crash. Second have you ever used a Windows computer in an enterprise enviornment? if so think about the log on process.

Only time I have ever used Ctrl-Alt-Delete was to end a process which crashed my computers. If the Ctrl-Alt-Del button is used to login for enterprise, call it a login button or a task manager button. I can guarantee you most people who think Ctrl-Alt-Del have nothing but negative thoughts.
