When someone says "it feels too plasticy", if they aren't referring to the description of most plastics (light and flexible) what are they referring too? Especially when comparing to the glass (heavy and not flexible) of an iPhone.

You said people dont like the plastic feel...as if everybody dont like it. I dont want a all glass phone myself. Like i said, im glad my GS3 is light and for its size and is lighter than a much smaller iPhone.
My Wifes HTC Radar is heavy as well since it is about 80% metal and it is slippery to me because of it. BTW it is a Windows phone and she isnt one to like to change phones because of them having different OS's but she has taken to it very well and likes it.

I said people, not all people or everyone. I don't mind it myself. I should have said some people to avoid confusion. Sorry about the confusion.

I like my one X but I didn't like the color I bought it in. I got grey (because I got it cheap) but really wanted white.

So I bought the rear housing and sim card slot from Ebay, and switched from Grey to white. Looks so much prettier ;)

Really easy to pop the phone out of the case, and into new housing too. Only the speaker gave me a little bit of a heart flutter, but once I realised what I had to do it was simple too.

This was going to be my transitionary phone between the 4S and the iPhone 5, but as it currently stands the iPhone 5 has to deliver some really killer features and ones that are not solely USA / North America related ( Siri being useless in Ireland for one) in order to make me bother selling the One X and going back to the iPhone.

Just got the newest RUU software update 4.0.4 & Sense 4.1 and the difference in smoothness on the device is night and day.

My only disappointment with the one X is the camera quality can be a bit touch and go at times.

Or just link to the search..

Remember whoever you order from on eBay, check that they stock the sim card tray. You have to buy it separate but they will if you ask ship together.

Took about 10 days to get mine from Hong Kong to Ireland.

Thank you for the links and the tip of the sim tray.
Was it hard for you to change it?

No surprisingly easy.

A little bit of pressure bottom left corner of device to start releasing the housing and then use a thin flat tool to help pop the innards out of the rest of the housing. I used a credit card (old one) to lever it out working bit by bit. Be forceful, but be delicate too.

Another tip is to put some Sellotape on your power button and volume rocker, because once you have the innards out, they are prone to drop out, and as they are tiny you don't want to lose them.

The only other thing is the rear speaker has o be popped out of the old housing (use a needle to pop / lever it out) and drop it into the speaker space in the new housing.

New housing comes with blue cellophane on the inside, remove this as this is the sticky parts to secure the innards once installed into the new housing.

Check out XDA HTC one x general forum, I did a post with photos :)

Took me bout 20 minutes to do, if I can do it, I'm sure most people could :)

I'm the opposite: wanted the gray but Rogers only sold their LTE model in white :(

Doesn't look like there are XL housing replacements though unfortunately.

I bought the SG3 again and returned it after a 2 days (I fell for the hype again).

Sense is just so much nicer than Touchwiz.

I call BS...

Here are some of your statements from this thread posted no longer than two weeks ago:

"I mean it PLAIN to anyone that Samsung is just a big copycat with inferior hardware trying to play Apple in the world of Android.

To me Samsung doesn't represent the essence of Android but are just using the platform as a weapon against Apple.

By that I mean, they don't really care about Andrioid but merely only want to copy Apple.

I already stated my opinion in the OP.

This is an HTC thread primarily, if you'd like to join the other SG3 sheep, there are plenty of other threads for that already."

And some more...

"Samsung, is a blatant copy'cat artist whose designs are NOT very inspiring."

And you say that you fell for the hype yet again, got a flagship phone from a company who is nothing more than a copy cat who makes inferior hardware (according to you) and then returned it after two days? Nah...I think you just want to vent some more against Samsung and this is your new found excuse to do so.

You said what I think a lot of us were thinking. If you blatantly dislike something you don't go out and buy said product. Then say you fell for the hype? You already hated it! There is no hype....
