The last great HTC phone was the classic One M8 running the GPE OS, that phone was so smooth and fast, running stock Android officially updated by Google + HTC together.

If they made the U12+ a GPE phone, it'd rock

I don't know hwy, but I'm strangely drawn to this device at the moment, possibly looking into picking one up.
I need to sell my P20 and can't decide what to do with my KEY2, so didn't know whether to get one of these to try out or not.
I could possibly get a used but pristine one for £400 but there's no box, no charger no nothing. And it's black.

Or I could get one from HTC Club for £620 which would obviously be new with warranty, have a charger and all official accessories, and it would be dual sim, which I could make use of due to having 2 lines.
I could also get it in blue or red which I like the look of.

With the upcoming update to fix the capacitive side buttons (which has been the main complaint) it seems like it could be a good buy.

HTC is a dying company, hope Google can give them a breath of life, it is pulling out of Indian market. Their products cannot compete with the Chinese ones.
