it's a hot topic this morning throughout Europe;

Here are the new updates Terms for Huawei''s Themes:

•Sales promotion and marketing purposes, including creating aggregated target groups for marketing. Knowing our customers' preferences enables us to target our offers and offer products and services that better meet the needs and desires of our customers. You can object to such processing as described in Section 5.5 below.

If I read this correctly, it means that the chances of seeing ads is getting more then common in the (near) future on Huawei's devices. And mostlikely also elsewhere on your Huawei phone.

This could be the dead of Huawei (smartphone division), IF (!!) true. Especially with all the news around Huawei lately.
That would bother me to no end to have advertisements on my phone menus and so forth.
I guess the fix is to not use Huawei's themes

Is it not just a simple thing to not use booking.com wallpapers?
That was just one of the advertisements. The ads are flowing from using Huawei themes.

I haven’t seen those booking.com ads on my P30. Huawei said they have removed the affected wallpapers from their server. So nothing to see here , move along.

This would be really cool if true...
Huawei considers using Sailfish OS instead of its own OS
Initial rumors pointed at Huawei's in-house Ark OS and it's supposed to go out sometime in October but sources familiar with the matter state that the Chinese tech giant is considering another alternative as well - Sailfish OS.

Well, not exactly pure Sailfish but instead a fork called Aurora OS, which is still Linux-based mobile operating system. Even Huawei's CEO, Guo Ping, reportedly discussed the possibility of using Aurora OS on its handsets with Konstantin Noskov who is the minister of digital development, communications and mass media in Russia. In fact, Huawei is already testing some of its devices with Aurora OS, allegedly.

Suddenly there are a lot of options, I just hope Huawei can get enough of its Chinese OEMs to also back whatever OS they choose as that is what will determine its survival, they need to establish a foundation much like the Symbian Foundation.

Just booted up my P30 Pro and boom, June Security patch is here

Lucky you. I have not received mine yet

Must have misunderstood. I thought it was from using booking wallpapers already on the phone. Not something I'd notice as I only have pics of Taylor Swift on my lock screen. lol

Would love love to see a big OEM like Huawei go to Linux! It is a very secure OS..but it needs some backing and dev work.

Had my SIM in my P30 today and have gotten so used to the Pixel 3's terrible battery that I've just looked at my phone thinking "must be low now".
53% left lol.

I charged mine last night then put it in airplane mode at night. This morning I turned it on and used it most of the day. Now at 9:17 pm it has 77% battery life left and my iPhone 8 Plus is being charged again. Battery life, GPS, Cell Reception Signal strength, Call quality and camera the P30 Pro beats my iPhone 8 Plus.

Keyboard wise for typing I prefer the iPhone keyboard over the P30 Pro keyboard. The apps also seem to load faster on the iPhone 8 Plus. The one thing that is a bit odd with my P30 Pro is how it uses memory. I have the 256GB model with 8GB of Ram but for some reason my tabs always need to reload for Chrome. Will see if Firefox or Edge work better. I also prefer iMessage on my iPhone over the text messages using the P30 Pro. The iPhone also has less ads popping up on my iPhone compared to my Huawei P30 Pro

Forget all those Web Browsers and rather use Samsung Internet with AdBlocker. I do not touch Chrome or any other web browser in Android except Samsung Internet, it seems a by far the best web browser on Android, IMO. It’s fast, fluid, stable and incredibly efficient.

It's crazy how much this regular P30 feels like a totally different phone compared to the Pro. So much nicer to manage and use one handed without the tall and curved screen.
My opinion of course, and I do have small hands.

It really looks like the Essential Phone and reminds me of it massively.

Which browser have you found to be able to keep most tabs in memory without needing to reload.

Samsung Internet is the only one I use, it usually keeps all my tabs, if I don’t have a crazy amount of them open like 50

How many tabs do you reckon it could keep in memory before needing a refresh. The Chrome browser seems to almost always need a refresh when I click back on that tab again. It is quick to reload but it does need to reload.

This P30 Pro after update is like having Superman vision. Reminds me of the vision from the 6Million Dollar man. What the majority of the people can not see with the naked eye this P30 Pro helps you see them.

Almost impossible to read the plates on this car from this distance

It's absolutely ridiculous
This phone really is a hardware marvel.

Something I also notice with the P30 Pro, have you noticed how it barely ever gets hot? Or is this just me? It's heat dissipation seems good.

I bought this carbon fiber case for it. With or without the case I am amazed at temperature control as it almost always runs cool.

[doublepost=1561058128][/doublepost]Went to have some Vietnamese food for lunch. There was a menu on the screen above the register. With the human eye this would be near impossible to read. One of the images is at 1X which is what it looks like to human eye. Basically a TV with writing on it for menu. With P30 Pro ZOOM it is easily legible
