Give me props!!!!
I told you they were going to fix the faulty screens soon.

Apple is contacting buyers by phone to get the screens replaced!!!!

Uhhh you said "February 15ᵗʰ to be exact". Today is the 8ᵗʰ. Anyway, you shouldn't trust the people on the phone, no matter how high up they are (unless it's Steve Jobs himself) because they don't really know what they are talking about. I put the screen replacements calls as a coincidence to your situation.

I can't believe I'm getting involved in this...

Personally I think you are lazy....It's because of people like you that company's can screw us over! Wait for your fix, like many have been waiting since last october....

Just ain't my way of doing things.

If I could box and sell you my old 17" square monitor and put a Apple sticker on it, you would probably be waiting for a fix.

I am a consumer, that's how economy rolls, They produce and I buy!

Guess what I don't buy ****!

This is the very best I have seen so far!

Even better then Apple Relation excuses!

Thanks Kavik

You do realise this isn't an Apple owned website, but a site about Apple? You're preaching to the converted. You can bad mouth this iMac situation as much as you want, but the only people looking at this are those who have either bought an iMac and are experiencing problems, or those who are in the process of buying one and are anxious about getting a dodgy screen. Apple aren't going to read this, try ranting on their forums, and try to provide a bit more information or evidence before you come out with claims regarding mass recalls or fanciful fixes all because you talked to some guy in a call centre.

Truth be told, if you're having so many problems with your iMac you're probably better off heading back to PCs. There's loads of different manufacturers in that industry you can moan about.

Your a piece of work Biff. You've told us alright, except most of us are just not sure what it is with all your endless ramblings.

How much longer you figure you have till your next time out??

I come with good news for all!!!!!!

I've already heard about the Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saints.

...oh, I see. you made a post bolstering a totally irrelevant title complete with a ton of exclamation points and an abundance of horrible spelling/grammar/punctuation within your many posts. and you said towards the beginning of your rant that you were banned/blocked from Apple forums? surprise surprise.

well, thank you for delivering the golden word and treating us all like peons for not worshipping you for sharing your information, AKA a customer rant, and saying you didn't come here to make friends.

nice to meet you.

Jamo is correct. Apple is contacting people who were on the list with yellow tinge screen complaints.

I got a call this evening, and was told to take my iMac into any authorized dealer or Apple store, and that they would make arrangements to 'take care of the problem'. It was stated that Apple did not have protocol in place before to handle the situation, but now they do, and to take the iMac in for service.

I asked whether that means that the screen will be replaced or what, and the Apple rep said that he did not know what the fix was, as he was just customer relations, but that it would be fixed if I brought my unit in.

For what its worth....
