hey icetraxx could you PM me your AIM sn ? i have a lot of other questions :) and talkin trhoguh aim would just be easier imo

You know the digital hub thing?
Well thank god apple got rid of that... They converted all those prefs into a nice and neat "Cds and Dvds" as you can see in the sys preferences.

Apple should bring back the blue spinning cursor that was in earlier builds also.

I wonder how pissed off Apple would be if they saw these pics? :D

i don't know... they haven't served anyone with cease/desist order in a LONG time... since that one red mobo ;)

there's been quite a few diverse (and believable) rumors that i don't know what to think anymore...

hopefully time canada doesn't screw anything up this time around... i wanna be surprised (too bad i can't stay away from these forums ;))

all these .Mac rumors and .Mac is just short for www.mac.com
LOL!!!!
In the system help is says iTools and it lists iTools as one of .Macs services! HAHAH and everyone thought they renamed iTools .Mac and is going to charge people for it! LAMO

Apple still will probably charge for other (new) .mac services though...

And IE in jaguar IS VERY FAST.. I forgot to mention that.

No more screenshots will be posted... I want the rest to be a supprise to you and I dont want to get introuble. (If you really want to see something in jaguar find a way to email me)

I have 6C85 installed and the bootup time is about 30 secs! ;)

Including login....

I have to agree with icetraxxg5. Jaguar is the BEST OS EVER! And 6C85 is known as being a slow build, but I think it's darn fast! Especially faster than the dev seed which I also have tried out.

Can't wait for wednesday!

<edit>Uhm.. This was ment as an reply to a question about bootup time. But I didn't notice the second page of the thread... :p </edit>

icetraxxg5: are you using iChat? I'd like to try i out, but I don't got any friends who use AIM.

Have you tried running Photoshop or Illustrator in Jaguar?

I too have a 500 mhz Icebook but have been reluctant to move to 10.1 b/c it seemed so much slower than 9.2. I was hoping that Jaguar would make it worth while for me. From your posts, it sounds like it.

How much RAM are you running?

Hey Zenith just wondering how do u have a avatar yet u only have 94 posts?
As for Jaguar looks very nice can't to get my hands on a newer build i've been using the WWDC version for a while now.

he won the avatar contest

as for jaguar.... does the dvds and cds encompass the whole digital hub? ie, digital cams/camcorders, etc? i thought that was a pretty handy feature.... it doesn't seem like it would fit anywhere in the system prefs you posted..

that's sweet. doesn't seem to fit, but sweet.

WTF? You're right, it DOESN'T fit, not by a long shot. Why would they do such a stupid thing? I don't get their organization sometimes...

Not sure if this relates, but one of the new items in Screen Effect is .Mac screen saver. i attached the screenshot from the config. button.

it seems that it will use pictures from people's idisks if you know that person's .Mac Membership name. Notice it doesn't say iTools name, but .Mac name.

That to me seems that there may be a change in services/nomenclature, if not a charge for services.

yeah, it could certainly keep people from finding the prefs if they don't know they're there.... not sure how a digital cam/scanner fits in "cds and dvds"... i DO think they should all be in one pref, but why not have a "digital hub" pref or something..... hmmm
