Didn't you just start a thread claiming that jailbreaking is illegal and there are no benefits?

That thread was in order provocateur: I wanted to know if I was wrong about the Jailbreak.

I am Italian, I am 19 years old and it is almost impossible for me to write in your language and to understand your replies. Be patient, please!

I have just decided to jailbreak my iPhone 6 Plus

Next time just ask the simple question 'is jailbreaking legal?' instead of making claims and being an *******.

I have no words: I just wanted a guide and people here do not want to help me... it seems so.

It's incredibly lazy of yourself and frustrating to me, to not put any effort into finding out what you need to know. Instead you started a bs thread and expect someone to do it for you?

(But seriously this video will show you step by step....

I have just watched the visual video. If it is the best guide on the web, I will close the thread.

Yes. Since the other guides don't have a video to follow, I think you should follow this one. But don't complain to me if you mess it up - I really think you shouldn't jailbreak while you're at this level of reading comprehension of English. There's a chance you mess up your iPhone.

Edit: You definitely shouldn't jailbreak if you need to be babied trough even the step of choosing the right guide when you have all the links and could just read them and pick one yourself. Good god...
You are a kind person. God bless you! :)

In my opinion, asking for 'the best guide on the web' is not a bad idea. However, there is not a chance to mess up my iPhone: do not worry! At this moment I am not using Google Translate.

I am waiting for the confirm.

The story is old so I was only able to find three links. Here is the best one…
http://www.tuaw.com/2011/11/07/apple-security-chief-john-theriault-reportedly-retiring/

The story I originally read indicated the guy was ex-SFPD, but some of the links now say ex-FBI and they also use the term "retiring". Don't be fooled. He was essentially fired.

EDIT: Man, memory certainly is fuzzy. This story says it was the iPhone 5 prototype…

EDIT2: Some stories are saying 4s. Doesn't really matter as impersonating a police officer is what this is really about. Here's a CNET article.

Thanks for those links. The SF Weekly article was a particularly good read.

My contention is that the Apple security guys at the house were NOT ex-SFPD, nor is there any evidence to suggest that they were later fired. I assumed you might have some inside info - since these tidbits were never revealed by the media at the time (nor have I read anything since) supporting your assertions.
