Awesome...but

I LOVE this. Seriously one of the coolest ideas I've seen.
I would almost buy one right now, but I just need a little more coverage. If it were more of a bumper with 4 corner protection, I would be all over it. I'm a hapless phone dropper :(

So I received my remora today and so far it delivers as advertised. However, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to remove it. I watched the video, but mine simply does not want to come off. Any suggestions?

Don't you simply peel back one of the corners?

Nice design and reasonable price. Good work! Looks like a sexier alternative to the Stashback I've been using. Might have to try it out!

We designed the Remora to fits nice and snugly given that it only touches the phone in a limited area. We wanted to make sure the cards would stay put! That said, the first removal could take a bit more effort than a typical case. Not to worry, though, we have some tips for that. And, after one or two removals, the case will break in and become much easier to remove (without losing any of it's nice grip). I can often do it with only one thumb.

It's always best to remove the Remora in the reverse order used to install. This means starting with the bottom corner first. Our favorite way, when pushing with our thumbs just wont cut, it is shown in the short video linked below.

This shows me removing the case by gently sliding the bottom corner across a carpeted surface. You simply use your thumbs (or palm) to put firm pressure right at the very bottom corner while sliding. Thiner or coarse carpet works best. If it's too thick/fluffy it won't provide enough grip. Let me know how it works!

Wow this thing looks really cool and I would love to test one out. I have been looking for a wallet type case for my phone for a long time.

This does not work for me. I hear a click and it raises off, but I can't get it to fully come off the bottom. I don't want to bend the phone or break it.

It took me forever but I finally got it off

Other than that are there any issues with the case you guys have found? Did you have a screen protector on the back?

if the offer is still out there I'll take one...please let me know...and thanks in advance! :D

If you are able to send another iPhone 5 sample unit out, I don't mind testing. Check out my YouTube channel (link in sig) and you'll see I test and review gadgets all the time, so your item would get good exposure from a large audience with a natural interest in this sort of stuff ;)

I have nothing on my iphone, it is naked. I was able to get mine off using my thumbs and while it is still a tight fit, it is becoming easier to take off. However, I wouldn't really consider this an issue or problem, because you have confidence that it isn't going to accidentally come off and you risk losing one or two of your cards.

I'm going to use it more this week, but just going on initial impressions, I would say if this is something that fits the needs you are looking for, then go ahead and order it. It definitely delivers on what is advertised.

And just incase any of you are wondering, I did not receive a free unit, I paid for mine.

My only complaint is not seeing this soon enough to get a test unit.

Ordering black for my black phone now.

I think you've got a great product on your hands here.

Thanks for the review. Just waiting to hear back from someone with a 4S version.

Any chance of adding a three card version in the future for the 4S? I will be purchasing a two card version but would also like a three for work based activities.

Okay it's late so I can't do a full review yet. But I don't think I'm able to...

First thing, the blue color is great! Love the shade.

Now the bad...

It's just too dam tight! I cracked the bottom piece. I was not able to use it at all. I'm sorry man. I was looking forward to it but dang.

It fits super perfect and tight but I think it's too tight? Maybe if you can make the material flexible?

Hey truciet - sorry to hear that. Let me know if you'd like me to send a replacement. Was section that cracked right around the headphone jack port?
Some of our other beta testers have identified this too, and it happens when the top corner (near the power button/camera) is not fully seated before trying to snap on the bottom. It is a thin piece - but we are using a very robust material.

If it was the area I mentioned near the headphone opening, the case will still work just fine - and will still be super secure. In fact, it will be much easier to remove, too :D You can just tear that little piece off. Let me know if you'd like a pic.

For reference, the method I show in this video works really well for installation.

Hey JH- we've had a few requests for 3-card versions. It's something we're looking into, but probably won't tackle in the immediate future. Thanks for the note!

To add to my comments about fully seating the top corner (as the back of the packaging mentions), I wanted to put together a couple of images that we'll start including in the shipping packages to help clarify. With the top corner properly installed, you really can snap the bottom on as roughly as you want, and it won't crack.

We're loving the feedback and it's driving us to adapt our actions and information. We want to make sure this case gives the great experience it was designed to! Thank you!

$17 must be too much for some people.

Yes it is, when I would be getting it for review and advertising the item for them in the first instance, considering the number of subs/views I have. I see it as a fair trade off.

i am interested in testing a blue or white one one for iphone 5, id even pay for it ($7) not the full $17 incase it breaks.

i do have a concern that it is a little on the thick side is there a way you can thin it out for the next batch without compromising the quality?

i have only used wallet snap cases since my 1st iphone, case-mate did a wonderful job upto the 4S but refuse to release a barely there ID case for the 5 :(

i know a lot of people have been biting at your heels wanting to "test", more then likely they just want a free case, im willing to pay towards it and i have other wallet cases to test against if that happens, right now im rocking the phone naked no case no screen protector because i cant find anything i like but this might fullfill the needs.

Still waiting on mine. Shipping from NoCal always takes forever to get out here to Misery.

@JH- I'm getting one that fits a 4/4S, so if no one else has anything to say before I get mine I'll be putting up a detailed review.

Thanks. I'm going to buy one early next week anyway when I return from vacation. I look forward to seeing what you have to say. Do you have an estimated arrival?

Yea estimated delivery July 5th, but I ALWAYS get mail the day after the estimated delivery date. That and the holiday could push it back another day. I hate snail mail. I wait for the day we can email physical objects.
