You must suck at typing in general if you cant get use to the ipad keyboard in landscape. I can type just as fast on that as a regular keyboard.
You really don't know what you're talking about. I'm sure you can type just fine. I'm a decent typist, 60-70 wpm with almost no mistakes, but the iPad is just enough smaller that I can't hold my fingers over the keys (fingers are too fat, a regular keyboard is just barely big enough). Without any tactile feedback, I doubt I'll ever get very good at it. Unless somebody figures out how to make my fingers transparent, and I don't have to read something at the same time so I can just stare at the keys. I love the iPad for what it is, but my point is that you can't say what works for you works for everybody.

I have little doubt that the perceived utility of 64 gig vs 32 will not be all that noticeable untill you have used the machine for a while.

Forget about all of the things the iPad does they are not important in terms of this buying decision.
Learn about what the iPAD will NOT do for you. If you need to iPad to do the things that are on the list of what it will NOT do then don't buy it.

I would like to add that you should consider what the iPad won't do carefully. For instance, the iPad won't allow you to handle files or pass files from one app to another. This is a huge pain. But I found workarounds. Another thing that bothers me is lack of multitasking. We will be getting multitasking (Apple's definition of it at least) this fall and for those of us who were early iPad adopters, Apple promised us the 4.0 OS would be free.

I wouldn't run out and buy an iPad if you'll be miserable with it until 4.0 comes out, but if you're reasonably happy with it now, there is an excellent chance you will be happier with your iPad with 4.0. Still, even with 4.0 there will be some shortcomings. iPad does not support a mouse. This means that if you want to use remotetap to control your Mac from your iPad, certain things like dragging and dropping are going to be problematic. There are also browser limitations. Because the browser is touch based, there is no way to use wysiwig editors for online editing of web sites that use technology like wordpress. I've been able to make do by switching over to a "plain text" editor but I'd much rather be using the wysiwyg editor if it would work with iPad. But for me this is not a deal breaker. And this is my last point. If there is something the iPad won't do, you need to consider whether it's a deal breaker before you buy the thing and get upset. The iPad has been out long enough and there are enough reviews out there you can get a pretty good idea without having to guess. I have a review as well, linked in my sig.

hope this helps...
