I think it's one of the things you just live and learn with. Remember, it's just a color and you can certainly upgrade in the future. But I do like the Matte black.
Alright, thanks for the advice. The iPhone 8 (or whatever it's gonna be called) will be out soon, and I'll get that. Just gotta live with the Gold for a few more months...

Gold isn't that bad. That's what I have and I have grown to like it. But Matte black will be my next color as well.

Gold isn't that tacky man. Its really how you feel about it. If the first thing you tell people your phone is tacky, they will also think the same.

If you REALLY dont like it, just slap a case on it. And the white front is as good as the black one. Dont worry about it. Think about it this way, atleast there are no chances of paint chipping like that on matte black ;)

Just chalk it up to a life lesson and avoid gold consumer products in the future. You have a great, functional and powerful phone.

If anyone judges you on the colour of your phone then I would suggest they would be better off spending some time examining their priorities in life.

While getting an OtterBox Commuter case for mine, I looked everywhere locally for the hot pink version. I wanted my phone to be easily discernible amongst all my black photography gear. I couldn't find the pink version, so I settled on their light blue "bahama blue" colored case. If I come across the hot pink case, I'm grabbing it.

I have a Gold 128gb 4.7 inch iPhone 7, and I really regret not getting the Matte Black. Should I just deal with it until the iPhone 8, or buy the Matte Black? If I do buy a new phone, I'll probably buy the Plus... What do you guys think of the Gold color?

You are absolutely doing the correct thing. If you change your mind about your iPhone you should immediately start a thread about it.

You should buy one of every color and size so you'll always have what you want available. Of course if you leave the house and change your mind later you'll probably need to come back here for advice. ;)

Put a case or a skin on it and wait until later this year when new hardware is released.

iPhones are not "investments" that you're going to keep for the long term. This isn't like a house you just bought that you decided a month after the closing you can't stand. It's a tool that you will use for a relatively short period of time and then sell/give away/put in a drawer and forget about.

Very true. I tend to use mine for as long as possible.

Don't get the matte black until you need a new phone like the 8 or w.e.

I agree, gold is very tacky.
Gold is great at first, but gets frustrating to look at eventually unless you like colors that pop. I had a silver 7 at first, but swapped it out for matte black once I saw it in person.

For future notice, you should go to an Apple Store (or any store with iPhone's on display) and look at the different colors.
