I really hope not... Every iPad I buy is the last one I need.

Nothing you're listing is compelling on paper, so hopefully I can get a few more years out of my M1. That's the problem though-- they never seem compelling on paper, and yet in practice...

I’ll never say never because I always say I won’t upgrade my phone then I do. I have no plans to upgrade my iPad as it’s more than powerful enough and the display is already incredible. Next thing I upgrade will probably be my watch.

I am also waiting to upgrade my 10.5 iPad Pro! lets see what Apple offers this year but your wish list sounds too good to be true lol

Not a chance in hedoubletoothpicks!

Good luck with that wish list though. I'll hang on to my M1 iPP 11.;)

Opened the thread hoping to see a purchase offer on my person ;)

But no, I’ll sit this one out. My 2018 iPad Pro is still pretty close to overkill for what I need from an iPad. The mini 6 has mostly replaced it in daily functions, offering a better workflow when paired with the M1 MacBook.

I agree with others in wanting a stronger iPad OS. But I’m also not going to drop that kind of money on a new device with a brand-new operating system. Definitely a Gen-2 at best for me.

I am still happily using the original 2016 9.7” iPad Pro.

I’m quite liking my mini 6, and while I would like a larger screen strictly for Universal Control to act as a third monitor, I am not sure the cost would be worth it. The mini 6 is my daily driver and take everywhere device and I can’t imagine going back to or getting much daily use with the upcoming 12.9 IPP.

I just bought and returned the M112.9 iPad because it had drastically worse battery life than my M1 Macbook Air so the M2 is a great selling point for the next iPad Pro. The M2's main strength is it's efficiency. The E-cores are 60% faster than those found on the M1 which means more demanding tasks are handled by the E-cores and the P-cores don't need to activate as often. This leads to a couple more hours of battery life.

Where does Apple mention these specifications on efficiency?
