Ian Beer to release tfp0 exploit for 11.1.2. Hope!

**** me, two years in a row on the day I have time to downgrade my phone they stop signing it. It’s **** like this that makes me want to throw my phone off a cliff.

I narrowly got an 11.1.2 restore in the day before it stopped being signed (two days ago)

Unless someone reproduces the jailbreak recently claimed by Alibaba in China, which is said to support the iPhone X, 11.2, and 11.2.1:

Guys hard to explain what's been achieved but a KPP-less solution (kernel patch protection, looks for tampered code) is in place for 11.1.2 supposedly. Previous KPP had to be addressed with on 10.1.1 which is why mach portal was "unstable" but extra_recipe many months later fixed that (once you get the device in a JAILBROKEN state period, which can take some tries on 7)
From an exploit perspective I think almost all the heavy lifting is done. It's now mostly an iOS 11 Cydia and substrate re write
With progress like this, I'm thinking we might see a JB before end of year, or next month if they drag their feet on tying up the loose ends/the process becomes more involved than anticipated.
Tl;dr Bottom line is this is hopeful progress! Very hopeful!
IMO more so than past few pieces of news like teams showing off JB using 0days they don't plan on releasing. I knew Ian Beer from P0 dropping the mother lode was a good omen. It was last year too.

They stopped signing I think yesterday? Dec 16
so 2-week lead time. Pretty standard.

11.1.2 isn't being signed anymore, so you can't install it now, and you can only download through a limited set of circumstances if your device is already jailbroken. Your only installation options are 11.2 or 11.2.1.

Could be another great news for iPhone X / 8 / 7 users now we have TFP0 exploit from Ian Beer, and could be the chance to downgrade/upgrade/restore firmware by using FutureRestore

I’m doubtful tho. Since the public exploit is for 11.1.2
Stranger things have happened but it would be a waste of 0days to jailbreak 11.2 after getting an 11.1 jailbreak
Very doubtful. I would try to get a warranty exchange from Apple and hope it's running 11.1.2 or less. I took everyones advice on Reddit and downgraded my X to 11.1.2 while it was still being signed.
lol if it were that easy. A ton of iPhone X are crappy with crappy screens, speaker issues, dust etc. Worst QC Ive seen in over 7 years on this forum.
My phone does get very hot when on the charger... I’m seriously considering this since I got screwed out of the jailbreak 2 years in a row now. I wonder what iOS version current stock is shipping with?

Fun times ahead
After already returning a few X for display flaws I decided to order another X since my 8 is on 11.1.2 and kinda buggy. At least I still have it so I can jb that if its stable and safe. I usually jb a spare device just for fun instead of my main. The new X on the other hand has a pretty noticeable pink right edge and top so I will wait a few days, see if it bothers me, and then probably ship it back too. SAD!
