Very good news, but the big news will be when Saurik announces that Cydia is ready to roll. As we know, he is working on it so that is good enough for me! These things need time, so let's first all enjoy the holidays with friends/family and see what good news awaits us after the New Year!
Isn’t that the truth. I was having speaker issues with my x that was on 11.2 so I called in for a replacement they sent me 1 and it had dust under the lens. I just received another one that seems to be perfect. It’s on 11.1 so I’m patiently waiting for the jailbreak. And hoping my new phone doesn’t update itself.

Get a warranty swap like the guys above said. That’s what I did now I’m on 11.1. Was on 11.2 then 11.2.1 since Apple made me update.
If you actually care, then install the Apple TV profile (e.g. http://www.idownloadblog.com/2016/08/18/how-to-stop-iphone-asking-to-install-ios-updates/ ) and make sure that auto-updates are off. Just google for tvOS 11 beta software profile. I probably can't link the file directly here, but if your discovered link is on ipodhacks142 then you're good to go.

thanks. I actually found another way by downloading and app off tweakbox and it disables software updates.

I've been trying to get a hold of anything under iOS 11.2 but already when through 5 X's at the Apple Store and every one had iOS 11.2 or iOS 11.2.1.
None had VQ or VR as the 4th and 5th numbers on the serial.
It was all either VW, VV, or VT.
Every time I asked the employee if they can check if the serial number on the box had VQ or VR before I bought it and they said no.
Not sure if I should keep trying or not? What do you guys think?
See I got one in the mail and it had a piece of dust under the lens and it had 11.1 and then they sent me another new one that had 11.1

I went to the same 2 Apple Stores close by to return 4 iPhone X (2 each store) and both times found super helpful employees that tried to find any iPhone X 256GB (the ones I want) with either VQ or VR serial numbers in the back.
Unfortunately both of them said there were none, at least of the 256GB Silver (Sim-Free, Verizon, or Sprint).
My guess is there's no more old stock and all they have are new stock with build dates from December and on-wards.
This sucks, I should have been on the game sooner.
Looks like I'll just have to settle with one on iOS 11.2.1

Yeah you could always try one more time. Or maybe try a different color or lower storage just a suggestion, I have the AT&T version space grey 64gb
I guess the key to success is persistence.
I didn't give up and decided to try once more this morning at one of the same local Apple Stores. I had a super chill guy who actually brought out 8 iPhone X 256GB, some Sim-Free, some Verizon, and some Sprint.
Initially he brought out 4, 2 had VT and 2 had VW. It didn't have VQ or VR, but upon researching on reddit, I found a small handful of people who had a VT on iOS 11.1.2 so I told the guy to keep it aside.
He was cool enough to bring me out 4 more to see if it had VQ or VR, as those for sure will at no later than iOS 11.1.2
He brought out 4 Sprints
1. One had VM:

I told the guy to put back the initially 2 with VT, and I was gonna get the VQ and VR one. As if he couldn't be more chill, he said he could hook me up with the VM and VT ones if I want.
So I got all 4, 3 for sure with iOS 11.1.2 or below. The VT is a hit and miss.

FYI, for the ones I returned, I carefully opened the seal as to not tear anything, and used gloves to check the iOS before erasing all contents and putting it back in the box, so it would still appear as new. I try my best not to intentionally tear anything open to make it easier for the return.
For sure, I'm most likely going to keep the VR one but not sure if I should try to sell these other ones or return it
