How would you know if Apple is aware and working to resolve this problem? Does anyone know?

Happened to me too and it’s very frustrating. Tabs show outdated sites/none at all, history doesn’t seem to be syncing. I don’t use bookmark so I have no idea.

iPhone 7 Plus on iOS 14.2
2016 12” MacBook on Big Sur 11.0.1
Did it start to happen before updating to big sir , or after ?

Same here! Just started happening 3 days ago on all my devices. I close out my iCloud tabs and they just reappear again. Even after clearing out my history, signing out of iCloud/back in, turning off safari in iCloud settings, turning devices on/off, hard reset etc etc.. Must be an iOS 14.2 coupled with apples server issues recently kind of problem?? Idk but I want it fixed ☹️

Good question. I’m afraid calling Apple will end in “please restart your iPhone” “please sign out and in again” “did you have the latest iOS version” and so on...

But you’re right if nobody tell them nothing will happen.

Just found this thread, happening to me too between iPhone, iPad Pro, and two MacBook Pro's (both upgraded to Bug Sur for the first time Thursday and Sunday). I don't believe it has happened before Bg Sur but I probably haven't checked it in the last week prior. It is wrong on all devices, ghost tabs reappear, closing tabs on a device they come back, and it's the same ones - like some set of tabs is locked in on a server somewhere and that's what I keep getting er device. I have tried turning Safari/iCloud off and on, and closing all Safari's after closing all tabs, no luck.

is there anybody watching this thread who is in contact with Apple already? Maybe he / she can advise to this thread, to show how many users are affected.

Same here. Can anyone put this issue in the feedback app. I've deleted all my beta profiles

So glad to know that I’m not alone. I’ve been suffering from iCloud Tab issue since I moved all my data to a brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max and wiped the good old iPhone 7 Plus for spare. Both of them are running iOS 14.2 and I was just struggling to get iCloud Message working over my iPhones before realizing that the iCloud Tab stopped functioning. Really sad.

Same here. Running macOS Catalina all summer - smoothly, up to date. Safari 14.0.1 since four days. And since about ten days tabs on iPhone running iOS14.1 appear delayed.Tabs that are closed since DAYs on the MacOS device reappear on the iOs device while recent ones do not show) Restarting both devices didn't help.
But since I am tired of clearing out address book duplicates I won't sign out of iCloud just to test something. Also: It appears I have a very sluggish iCal. It gets stuck while entering a couple of keystrokes in the IOS device.

JUST CHECKED: IOS has 14.2. update just now. Will report.

I just started downloading iOS14.2. AFAIK this clears caches first.

(can be forced/ done with cold restart as well)

right now, I have the correctly synced tabs. Just don‘t ask me what makes it getting stuck other than sth with the cache.

lol

I believe some have used http://apple.com/feedback/ - I am messaging them on Twitter to hopefully make them aware, but so far it's been the standard 'update your iOS, restart devices' that others have been told as well.

I’m pretty sure chat is below tier 1 support. They can just point to knowledge base articles. You need at least a “senior” level advisor and I use that term loosely as all they can do is collect data from you and forward it to engineering. The engineers, which you can’t talk to, are the ones that would have any clue as to what’s wrong.

I’m having an opposite problem. I have too many tabs syncing! All the tabs from my old iPhone are showing up, even though I removed it from my iCloud account. I can manually delete them I guess, but I thought they would go away.

The tabs I’m seeing now on my iPhone are ones I closed early last week on my iPad. It’s not getting better.

I confirm as well that the problem appeared after 14.2. I have an older MacBook, in which I have stayed in Mojave.

The only update I performed was 14.2 at my iPhone. The only weird part is that it did not occur instantly but after a couple of days, But maybe I did not notice it right away.
