anyone know what font this is?

i have attached an image of a logo and I am trying to figure out what font this is. I looked through all the font's in my Mac's font book but I dont think it is any preinstalled one. Anyone have any ideas? thanks so much!

The big text looks a lot like Friz Quadrata Bold - it's not an exact match, but it's close enough to make me think that the logo is a modified version of the font (or that you could get away with using Friz Quadrata at a push).

The smaller line looks like Bank Gothic to me.

Hope that helps!

Cheers

I've searched my database with zillions of fonts, googled my way through the web, tried with identifont.com, etc....and still I can't figure what font is this.

Check the lower case g and k...they are giveaways.

In response to my own inquire to which nobody responded, so I can assume nobody new this font, the font in question is Plexes.

BTW - Scanning and sending it to What a Font did the trick.

That's hand drawn, not a font (see the way the "o" and the "c" are different?)

there are many fonts that will have these little differences (between the one 'o' an the other 'o') through the use o capital letters and lowercase letters. This still could be a font.

by the way, does anyone know where I can get this: It's called Welcome, and it was used in the Germany 2006 FIFA world cup.
The difficult part is that it's not even for sale, and only the FIFA organisers and related (ie. Yahoo) have it. Do you, or anyone you know has it... especially since the FIFA is finished over a year...

I've done some research for you, and the closest typeface there is to the 'Welcome' font is called 'Winch'. It can be purchased here: http://www.t26.com/fonts/699-Winch

That is Futura Light Italic or probably maybe Futura Book Italic. Bit difficult to tell from a small grab like that. I'd put my bet on Futura Book Italic.

The 'C's aren't quite right if you lay one over the other, but it's obviously a font that's trying so desperately hard to be Futura that I doubt anyone other than a diehard font nerd* would notice the difference.

*Diehard font nerd, you say? None of those round these parts, oh, nononono.

I'm not sure if this is the official periodic table, but these two fonts,

Cheers

This one from my buddy Heidi's Ad.Thanks!

I think that's Copperplate Gothic Light, but someone has hacked the upright off the R and added the horizontal bar (which I suspect is just a capital I rotated through 90°) to the Z.

The weight is not quite right with Copperplate Gothic Light, but it's a long way short of Bold, but it's possible that a stroke was added in Illustrator to increase the weight slightly.

Cheers!

Typical, I spent a while on identifont and whatthefont without joy then I tried making a vector copy of partial text and whatthefont came up trumps with FF cocon.

If anyone knew the name of the font or even share it, that would be amazing! Thanks!

What fonts do CNN Domestic and CNN International use now? Here's a cap:

CNN International used Helvetica exclusively until a few months ago, when they began using CNN Domestic's new graphics. It looks like the fonts used in DEVELOPING STORY and in the Update flipper are the same, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Any help?
