Actually you are completely false. Stop spreading BS. Yes the Pro speakers vibrate but not NEARLY as much as the air 2. On the air 2 you could feel the screen vibrate when typing. I'm listening to music right now at 60 percent volume and there's virtually no screen vibration. Even with the pro speakers on full the vibration is nowhere close to the air 2.

Thread closed again .......till some troll decides to argue some more.

C'mon dude, why the need to be so aggressive? You are free to disagree with my opinion but please do so without so much venom.

Perhaps the fact that my Air 2 is Apple refurbished means that it does not suffer the vibration issue in other models. There is no difference between my Air 2 and the store demo models in vibration intensity but I can't speak for all Air 2's.

Is that with or without a case?

I posted this in another thread but I feel it works here as well:

"When there are speakers involved, you need to expect some sort of vibration. The vibration from the older iPad was because the sound wasn't isolated and was allowed to go into the case, thus affecting the screen and allowing sound reverberation which turns into more vibration (echo).

The new design sees the speakers are more sealed off, there is a lot of insulation beneath the display (as seen in the recent teardown) and this is what separates it from the older model. I do notice vibration at high volumes but it doesn't affect the display like the previous version, but you can feel it along the back of the iPad.

The 12.9 is different because it has sealed off chambers which don't allow the sounds to reverberate much which reduces excess vibration. The vibration in the Air 2 was because the sound was allowed inside the case and it bounced around and became excessive. The 12.9 does have vibration at high volume but it has a lot of volume at high volume as well so it's expected. The 12.9 also has more mass and insulation as well so it doesn't seem so obvious."

The problem with the Air 2 is that the chassis vibrates when the sound bar is as low as 1-2 bars. I sent mine back and got the mini 4. The mini 4 only vibrates at very high volume, but no where near as bad as air 2. Hopefully, when I try the Pro 9.7 inch it's more mini 4 when it comes to the sound vibration and not air 2, which is pretty bad even at low volume levels and for me unacceptable.

sounds like you need to exchange your mini 4. My mini 4 has zero vibration when at max volume. I have tested out the Air2 at the store and it vibrates at about 60% or higher. It feels so cheap...like a toy.

When I said my mini 4 vibrates, this is just normal/acceptable sound vibrations imo. It is no where near the level of the iPad air 2, where the whole back chassis and screen shakes when it plays sounds. This is why I sent mine back.

Just went out yesterday and bought the iPad Pro 9.7 and it's fantastic. Vibration, when playing sound on it is minimal/acceptable level when playing sound compared to the Air 2. So it proves to me that the vibrations on the Air 2 are certainly not down to the thinness of the device (which I was told by an apple floor supervisor when I complained); they just didn't optimise the speakers for the Air 2. Glad i sent mine back, as the pro 9.7 has 4 speakers, better sound and doesn't vibrate like a bloody pager.

I'm deaf and love my iPad Air 2 - as soon as people were complaining about the vibrating speakers, I ran out and bought one. Brings a more tactile feel to my iPad for my benefit. :)

Fair enough. Glad the vibration feature has some use then.

I personally couldn't care less. Does not bother me at all with my Air 2. But I know it aggrevates some people enough to want to rip their own hands off. So for all of you who are sensitive to the speakers vibrating I'll give you a warning that the speakers on the Pro 9.7" also vibrate. By the same amount as the Air 2. I checked it out in store today.

Just a friendly warning for y'all!
Yes, especially for Senior Citizens gets annoyed as well with vibration thing. Only 40 Years old and above or Senior gets easily annoyed when screen vibrates when playing music behind the speaker though. While younger people like 20-40 or even an OLD Asian Citizen does not care, at all.

My 10.5 does not vibrate like my Air 2 did.
