Nope. The 11 Pro is a top-notch machine. The Air feels like a halfway between the cheaper standard iPad and the Pro. I have been considering the standard iPad before I bought my 11 pro but I decided I could use the pro's advantages. And I tend to think black or white. So the air would not have been an option either way :)

No regrets on my 11" Pro. I really, really like the Face ID. It is so much more seamless when using banking apps etc. that I would find it hard to go back to Touch ID. Also, the speakers are so much better. In addition the new pencil with wireless charging is great too. Overall, I wanted a premium device and the 11" Pro fits the bill for me...

I realize the pro has better specs and face ID, etc. (I have an 11" pro myself), but if you bought one, are you wishing you had waited and gotten the new air?

Why or why not?

Not at all. I’ve got a 1TB 11” cellular model. I wanted the storage, and hefty 6GB ram size, (4) speakers, Face ID, great resolution, CPU power beyond what most people could ever use in a desktop. True power in a small thin iPad with nearly unlimited storage space. With a beautiful ips 120hz panel.

It is a dream device for me. I put hours around 6 hours of use per day lately. And I enjoy it so much.

The new pencil really is awesome, and I’m using it a lot for my Disney travel business (keeping all my client information digitally now, as well as a planner for key client dates), my own personal planning, notes, etc. It’s one of the things that sold me since I had gotten to where I was using the pencil more and more.

I know I don’t maximize what this thing can do (yet), but I love everything about it.

I do not regret my purchase. I was able to take advantage of a Black Friday deal and shave $250 off of buying direct from Apple so that helped. It feels like a device that will age very well, so hoping to use it for several years. The new iPad Air strikes me as a device for non-tech enthuisiasts who don’t want the latest and greatest. They come in to look at the iPad Pro and then actually buy the regular iPad or the iPad Air.

My main complaint is the keyboard folio. I’ve had to buy a skin and a protective case to go around the keyboard folio.

That’s my biggest complaint also. I miss the ASK - just can’t jump on the folio bandwagon.

It doesn't really nullify what the previous iPad is capable of, and I doubt the spec bumps in the iPad world are big enough between model generations for it to really be a big deal.

Nope, I would happily pay more for the new design alone. The 11 inch is the best computer I've owned and I don't see myself ever going back to traditional PC's.
I am in a similar position myself. For what I use the iPad Pro for, I might not need to get a new MBP (have a 2017) again.

It’s a great feeling. Much simpler. Hang onto the MPB and just slowly work through anything you need to accomplish. Eventually you won’t need the MBP.

I don't regret it at all. I love my 11 iPP! I love the face-ID, the lack of the home button, the speed, the Pencil 2.

If I had bought the 10.5 last year, I might have a twinge of regret. But from what I can see, even the 10.5 iPP is a step up from the new Air.

I bought my iPad Pro 11 yesterday after announcement. Was disappointing because no Face ID in new non pro models. The screen is significantly nicer - I held both 11 and 10.5 pro side by side in store and there is no comparison.

Hell no. Finally all of my devices charge with USB-C. The iPad Pro 2018 is something new and refreshing. I use my new iPad just about as much as my Macbook Pro if not more.

Not for me. I personally enjoy the additional RAM, FaceID & 4 speaker design of the 11 Pro. After using the new Pencil, I genuinely prefer that over the original version too and use it much more often.
The new Air is a very accomplished iPad though and a good middle ground imho.

What issues are you having with the keyboard folio? They make a case to go around the keyboard folio??? Do you have a link to it?

Most who have purchased the 11" Pro would not be unhappy that Apple introduced the 5 mini. You can not compare the two. I do not have a Mini but might add one after the dust settles.

I was more thinking of the new Air. I know a lot of folks with pros (especially 12.9s) like having a mini as well.

Why in the world would anyone feel sorry for not getting a HEAVILY downgraded iPad (and heavily downgraded as in vs. the 2017 iPad Pro, which was excellent)

IDK - price maybe? I was just curious. I mean I don’t regret it, but the new Air is a pretty nice looking device, and for some, it would probably be more than enough for their needs, and it’s got a nicer price tag.

I guess you’re right though - they could’ve purchased the 10.5 pro and still had an overall better device.

Especially since the 2017 Pro is now being sold for close to the same amount as the new Air. (Yes, I know it’s two year old tech, but I’d still go for the 10.5 Pro if I didn’t have my 11 iPP.

They keyboard folio works great, but the material on the outside of it is very bland looking and in my opinion not typical of Apple Products. I'm also seeing some wear and tear but that might just be me. In order to improve the appearance I spent $20 on a skin and then bought a case (it was just released on Amazon) and will be arriving this week.
