They keyboard folio works great, but the material on the outside of it is very bland looking and in my opinion not typical of Apple Products. I'm also seeing some wear and tear but that might just be me. In order to improve the appearance I spent $20 on a skin and then bought a case (it was just released on Amazon) and will be arriving this week.

Let's just say if the 11 inch also had a new ioS interface , file manager, and mouse support I would call it perfection. I have no issues and Im completely satisfied with the device. I don't see myself buying another iPad until they at least transition to OLED or microLeD screen technology.

Lastly, some of us don't want to go to that hideous design of those newly upgraded basic ipads. Also, the A12 has processor timing controller issues creating microstutters etc (plenty of threads on iPhone forum) unlike the A12X so I rather not have to deal with that either. A11 would have been the better processor choice for the new basic ipads.

That’s an interesting case, when yours arrive could you update on how exactly it fits? Thinking of using it with smart cover and also curious if the back is hard too?

Also, I do feel like for me at least, the newer ipad air would be better for me as compared to the ipad Pro 11 but I like to buy tech because its the latest and greatest and would ultimately still pick the pro over air even though its mostly use for media consumption at the moment. Quite regrettable that the pro 11 does not have a headphone jack though while the new air does.... Sure I could use bluetooth headphones but I like to listen to music with my speakers instead when doing uni assignments at home and as I am using a wired keyboard I can’t have the audio dongle and keyboard attached at the same time.

That says nothing about any features that would make the iPad a more capable desktop replacement.
You don't think having multiple instances of an app would be useful to someone used to being able to do just that on a Mac? Or being able to have multiple documents open in Pages/ Word or multiple spreadsheets open in Numbers/ Excel is going to be useful to people who need to use more than one at a time? Or a more powerful files app is going to be useful when file system improvements are possibly the single biggest thing being called for? Fine, but for everyone else these will be big new features that will enable far more convenient workflows on an iPad than is currently possible.

Absolutely no regrets. I love the flush camera introduction, but hate the old design. Plus the pencil2 charging makes much more sense on the pro. The best thing apple did was to reduce the bezel size on the 11".

The Air is $300 less. This is a substantial amount. It weighs 12 grams less btw (not meaningful). I sort of wish I had this option now. Then again, i'm not unhappy.

I think i'll buy a Mini, which is pretty cool.

I realize the pro has better specs and face ID, etc. (I have an 11" pro myself), but if you bought one, are you wishing you had waited and gotten the new air?

Why or why not?

Not at all. I spend my days writing software for iOS and Mac's, and have a wide range of iPad's to test on. The 11" is my go to for any time I actually grab one with no specific reason in mind. It's proven to just be the exact right size and setup. Not slow, pencil is great, absolute perfect fit in my bag, not too heavy, feels sturdy. Love the thing.

Sorta. While I do love many features of the 11, I really really miss a physical home button and Touch ID. But the new Air wouldn’t have been enough of an upgrade (and in many places a downgrade) that I would have gone to that.

The only drawback I find using the iPad Pro 11 in bed is that when I am on my back with it resting on my chest, because the bezels are so thin, the bottom portion of screen hides/gets covered in the blankets and is hard to swipe up LOL.

After the announcement of the iPad mini 5 it made me want to buy an iPad Pro 11”.
Going from iPad mini 2 that got stolen to an iPad mini 3 that had no upgrades other then a finger print sensor was sad. iOS 12 brought the mini barely back to life. But going from that to this iPad Pro is just amazing. I went with the smart folio case and not the keyboard version as I just want minimalism. If I want a desktop and full keyboard for work I’ll just use my surface pro.
The 11” also doesn’t feel too big and the rounded squareness of it all just feels great.

You might be waiting a while or get tired of Android before they do that...

At least with Android I can get a different phone that has their version of Android for some variety. Apple its just the same iOS wrapped in a different wrapper.

Im not partial to a side but currently I am enjoying my Pixel and will probably get another before I go back to an iPhone.

Nope. The 11” ipad pro is what i wanted, and I got it. Wasn’t waiting for something better or cheaper. I bought what i needed when i needed it. Couldn’t be happier with it. Life is good. And my 11” iPP kicks ass.

What? Not at all, I had the 10.5 Pro so swapping it for the Air would be a downgrade. The 11 Pro is an awesome machine.
