I'm just wondering what you hate/dislike about the MacBook.

Me, i hate that the GPU sucks, but that doesent count cause everybody hates it.

I dont like how they dont come in silver and have a MacBook Pro finish and keyboard and black is expensive.

What about you?

yup, the stupid fan. And also the edge is very sharp on the wrists when typing, a poor design choice by apple.
A battery which sits flush with the case.
Also mine has started to crack so better plastic too.
And the GPU

It would be a toss up between better CPU cooling (fans currently have to run too fast whenever the CPU starts working) OR better viewing angle on the LCD display.

The glossy display to Matte.
That, or changing the case to aluminum. (but still with the magnetic latch.)
((obviously the GPU))

The keyboard layout. The keyboard has a nice durable finish but the spacing between the keys is an issue for me.

Also: bigger hard drives, and more max RAM.

Oh yeah, and the GPU.

The GPU -er, sorry.

Actually, I think that other than the GPU the MacBook is a fantastic laptop, and having used (but not owned) one I can't think of anything else I'd change. I thought the keyboard was odd but quickly got used to it (though I prefer my 15" PowerBook G4's keyboard).

Regular keyboard
Matte screen
iSight cover
Aluminum or other smooth trackpad surface
Non-hidden speakers

Its a tad heavy for a portable in my opinion with Sony producing a laptop of the same size but with an offboard graphics card at 1.69kg.

I would like to see the macbook shed off at least 300-600 grams.

True.

I thought it would be alot more portable but i was surprised to see it weigh like a heavy book.

>Matte display option
>GPU
>better graphics card so I could run FCS2.

If they never get around to being able to run FCS2 on it (which they probably won't), then make this:

>13" widescreen MacBook Pro
>aluminum, or new design
>dedicated graphics card
>120 GB hard disk standard
>2.0 or 2.16 GHz Core2 Duo
>2 USB, 1 FW400, 1 FW800
>5.5 hr battery life
>$1699~ish

Customers should retain the option to choose a glossy screen and the case should not be the fingerprint magnet that it is.

razor blade edges
and i didn't like the keyboard, maybe it was just mine but not enough tactile response.
glossy...didn't like it at all, still dont.
(Id say the screen size but then you'd have the MBP...almost)

Note these were on a MB from about 8 months ago, haven't used on sense.

Even the GPU doesn't bother me (I'm not a gamer). For me the MB is just right. Only thing I really would like is better battery life - but that is the underlying tech, and nothing to do with the MB.

I've had the BlackBook/2GB etc, for 6 months and I don't really have any 'niggles' either. This was a completely out-of-the-park homerun as far as I'm concerned.
