without any doubt it will be a Mac.still the best Apple product.desktop or laptop.
I'm happy to ditch iPhone, never been a fan.iOS is good but iPhone hardware and design was never great for me.despite owning many iPhones.

On balance I would probably be happier without an iPhone or iPad or Apple Watch. Right back to a flip phone; only get calls and struggle even to text = less wasted time on MR ? but more importantly would mean not always having work with me ALL the time. I’d switch back to printing papers and taking notes in a notebook. Not terrible.

But I’m not working on a windows machine.

As much as I love my iPad Pro I’d have to say my iPhone because it’s always on me if I need to look something up or get in touch with someone.

iPhone

can live without the watch I guess !

and cant really say airpods coz they would need the iPhone to work with best

What an interesting question…
Yeah, very interesting and actually way more difficult than my first, gut reaction of choosing the laptop (MacBook Air M1 in my case)… I do need a laptop for work and I very much prefer Mac over PC, but I also prefer iPhone over Android, so… I guess the only items on the list I could do without would be the iPad, desktop, watch, AirPods and of course the iPod (don’t even know why that one is on the list lol). I am, however, one of those people who find great use out of the Apple TV… But having to only choose one single Apple device… Guess I’d still go with the MacBook, although it’s a tough choice!

I’m glad I don’t have to pick just one IRL lol

Great poll ?

I had to vote for my MacBook Pro. I mean, going without any of those items - and I have them all except an iPod touch - would not be my choice but I could replace them all except for my laptop.

Not sure how anyone can vote for iPad. I’ve owned them all and the limited capabilities coupled with the very expensive prices make them instantly the first device to go. Apple making them more expensive than most of their laptop configs blows my mind.

I agree. While I love my iPad, a mac and an iPhone can do what it does and more. You have more features to lose by choosing an iPad over other Apple. I'd actually like to hear the reasoning from those who chose iPads.

What? How is an iPad more expensive than a MacBook unless you are specifically taking about an iPad Pro 12.9?

While an iPad can be used like a laptop (by adding a keyboard) thats not its optimum function. You don’t buy an iPad, even a Pro, if you primarily need the functionality of a laptop.

For the way most consumers use a computer a tablet is usually a more optimum choice. But if you need more of a work oriented device then a laptop is usually the better option.

Not sure how anyone can not vote for the iPad…it’s the most versatile product Apple makes

I really like my watch, I could probably do without it however.

The iPad is most versatile but I don’t use it too often as it lessens the experience of lets say Reddit in my phone. I think to myself that I’ll hate having to use the phone as I get spoiled with the larger iPad screen lol

Interesting to see how many people said iPhone. I simply couldn't deal with not having a proper macOS desktop experience for the rest of my life. It's SO much easier/less cumbersome to work with than iOS. So I said Mac laptop because of the portability + ability to use as a desktop in clamshell mode with external display/keyboard/mouse.
