I'm a Mac user so the iPhone is a natural fit. It's integration with the larger Mac ecosystem is unrivaled. I have an M1 iMac, an Intel-based MacBook Air, an Intel-based Mac mini, an iPad Air 2, and of course an iPhone.
If I were a Windows user I'd use an Android phone as my primary mobile. I have a Pixel 5 as a backup phone and I switch off to it occasionally, just for the change of pace. Also, my parents got Pixels as their first smartphones. I'm always their first call for tech support (and second call, third call...) so I figure I should be familiar with the ways of the Android. Turns out I actually like it. Switching platforms means shifting my email focus from my iCloud account to my Gmail account but that's ok.
In a perfect world I'd be using a BlackBerry running BB7, but that's a tale of woe best left for another day.
