I can’t wait for Justine to read this and weep , lol. She’s a known lurker on macrumors. I’ve always said that the chick knows nothing about technology, she’s just a fanatic and buys everything that’s expensive because it makes her feel good. She’s quite immature for a 35 year old woman, and has the same reaction to phones as my 3 year old newphew when he grabs my iPhone or iPad.

iJustine is passionate about Apple.

Everythingapplepro is a douche with zero knowledge whose sole trick is finding new ways to destroy iPhones or making 10-minute long videos about .1 iOS updates.
Lmfao! I like his channel but I always wonder who got time to find 50 tiny changes such as font spacing and call them “new features”, he needs a girlfriend

Come on. She's entertaining for a lot of people – look at her numbers! – and she's truly passionate about Apple. There's really no need for any negative feelings and I don't see any correlation between getting older and how excitable you are about the things you're most interested in.

Right behind you
He seems to have done so to every manufacture of cheap Android phones these days.

Another thing I find just plain stupid with You Tubers, is when they spend over 100 grand on a camera! I am of course talking of those like MKBHD who BUY Red cameras and equipment, for You Tube.. only for You Tube to downsample their videos a lot!
All I hope is they actually put the same equipment directors use to make films like The Avengers to proper use, not just their You Tube videos for which a 500 dollar camera would produce the same quality!

That idiot Linus Tech Tips is another one, I think he spent over 130 grand in RED kit? Why?..

Ah...OK , I see what you were conveying. In my opinion, Lou gets it right on many points in regards to apple. There are too many device manufacturers offering so much more (in tech) for much less. In the end, us apple fans pay the apple tax. But we know this and accept it because...well.....iOS :)

But he didn’t say that, did he?
Your saying that.
720p is still HD,according to google, isn’t it?

89b7c1a045874193c90b624ba60e584c.png

He claimed it couldn’t do HD and the resolution was the same as the iPhone 4, both factually incorrect.

He is also using ppi and resolution interchangeably, which is categorically false.

Does he not know the difference, as a tech reviewer that’s just embarrassing.

Doesn’t matter if your a fan or not but your defensive none the less. And no misinformation is never warranted.
If that helps your straw man argument, have a party.
No one is arguing that 720p is not considered "HD". I'll concede that point, ok?
He is saying, and i agree, that there is no reason a smart phone in 2018 should not have a 1080p display as a standard.
Period. The End.
You may not have an issue with this, fine.
Again, that is my point, not that YouTube can play 720pHD on the R.

Straw man?
You can’t claim responding to blatantly false statements as straw man argument.

You are arguing 720p is not hd and so was the reviewer. Talk about moving Olympic sized goalposts.

There is nothing to concede, it’s a fact.
It’s even in the guys video, how dumb can he really be?
d90fe58cae11f888ae4c3f8fe3362b8a.png

Would you like to concede water is wet and the sky is above us as well. Smh.

Secondly, Why do you keep dismissing or ignoring the fact that this tech reviewer doesn’t know the difference between ppi and screen resolution.

Do you?

Are you claiming ppi and resolution are the same thing?

Do believe the iPhone 4 and the iPhone xr has the same resolution? because that’s what that clown was rambling on about.

Don’t think you understand how standards work either.

I do have an issue with it, that’s why I’m getting the iPhone X’s max. You know because Apple offers more than one iPhone.

Please consider this:

Let's assume that 326ppi is indeed what Apple says it's Retina (i.e. you cannot identify individual pixels) - you may or may not agree but hold on.

The only iPhone to actually come with a full 1080p screen is the iPhone Plus. Literally ALL OTHER iPhones (including the X and XS MAX) are not 1080p so EVERY SINGLE VIDEO you're watching is either being upscaled or downscaled to fit the screen.

If that video is being displayed at 326ppi+, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. This is the case with the iPhone XR.

The iPhone XR is a very good Motorola Phone (good specs, good price) , with added performance and a little worse screen and 30% Apple Tax usual for everything Apple. And that's it.

People complaining about it like it's a 65" TV are not the target for budget phones, and if the $300 Porcupinephone is better, people will know better and buy it.

Apple is not the government and we are not forced to buy anything from them.

In my opinion the phone being 720p is overblown. I've used 720p phones for years and still have some, and used the highest resolution phones on the market. Yes, you can tell the difference but it's not a night and day difference like some of the people say. I don't feel like I'm using a phone from 2010 when I use a 720p screen. Perhaps they "should" include a 1080p screen minimum in 2018 but the difference between the 2 isn't that huge and most of the audience using them on these devices wouldn't be able to tell the difference if you tested them.

she talks about, how people thinks she over reacts :)

Hey Justine, I think it is great you and woman are more tech savvy, but you only have to tone it down a tad, then you are all good :)

So she should MOVE to suit you? Wow. Part of the review process is showing how the phone and cameras work in a multitude of environments, even outside. Her "outside" happens to be in LA.

She actually moved to LA from Pittsburgh, PA. It just shocks me that so many of these YouTube people move there after attaining a certain status and level of popularity. It's an overpopulated place with overpriced housing and they're most likely making it worse just for the sake of showing off that they can afford living in an expensive zip code.

I am going to assume people move to LA for reasons other than just having an expensive zip code. I know I didn't move here for a fancy zip code.

She does seem to have a lot of energy for even the tiniest of things. But i don't mind her and i'm no way surprised she got early access and even attended WWDC. She has the viewership and followers. And she's a long term Apple enthusiast like most people on this forum.

So I think most of us have settled into the Apple or Android camp by now (some both). When I am ready to upgrade usually after two years I know I am going to get the next iPhone (given the $1149 price I may hold on for longer). Someone else knows they are going for a Note or Plus One. The truth is I consider the reviews as more motivation, excitement, and validation of the decision I had already made a year ago. That is probably just me.

Oh please, you don't need to have a ridiculous income to live in LA. There are millions of every day people that live here just fine. Youtubers move To LA because there's a Youtube Creator space, hundreds of other creators they can work with, access to a lot of the companies and brands they'll be doing deals with, and to be in the epicenter of one of the most creative industries in the world. People who create videos for living moving to a place where they have better tools to create isn't that extreme of a decision. It's 2018, nobody cares about your zip code here beyond high school students. And besides most of the YT creators live in Hollywood and the Valley, nothing special.

Haha seriously was just going to make a thread about this video. He annoys me so much when he does videos about the iPhone because he just doesn’t get it.

We don’t care if the Poco phone or the one plus 6 or whatever all have higher PPI it’s all about the software cause Android sucks!
You know a newer Android running 7.1 is lousy when an iPhone 4s works 1000% more smoothly.

I don’t think having the iPhone since first release should be some barometer. I’m sure there’s thousands on here who can say they bought every iPhone.

The issue I have is she offers nothing constructive and is the ultimate arse kisser. Reviews should always be subjective. Her reviews are just marketing, which doesn’t sit right with me.
She offers nothing constructive? To who? You? Obviously she offered something to her millions of followers. You != everyone. Heck, if you think you can do better, go create a channel of your own. YouTube is free. And if you don’t like her, then by gosh why are you watching her?
[doublepost=1537509764][/doublepost]
For one, she’s entertaining. But more importantly she’s actually nice. Can’t stand some of the other youtubers who get a kick out of bashing companies.
This. She is just a cheery personality. It’s very difficult to find a neutral and positive youtuber nowadays. Everybody just push on the hate button to get views. She and mkbhd are the rare ones who are still present positivity in their persona.

iJustine got famous when she posted about her 1st AT&T bill on the iPhone 1 which came in several boxes due to AT&T itemizing each and every one of several thousand text messages that she sent with the iPhone. Things took off from there...

Her reviews are always informative and fun. She will do things that other reviewers never think about. I almost bought a iMac Pro because of her. Other women just focus on sex appeal and low cut shirts and she doesn't need to do that.
The best woman reviewer in my opinion is Lisa from mobile tech reviews. Erica Griffen does the most in depth screen reviews. Neither of them focus on sex appeal at all, but they are very in depth and smart. Lisa especially.

Don’t think they could even if they wanted to.

Personally don’t like Lisa’s reviews , she is stiff as a board.
