I like iJustine's reviews myself, they are fun, entertaining and glossy. Plenty of other places to read the small print of tech specs, I actually prefer to do that by text, rather than video.

I don't see anything wrong with being enthusiastic, I'm 53 and I act like a kid myself when I get my hands on a new gadget, Apple or otherwise. We are a predominantly Apple household also, but if I wasn't, then why would I be a member on Macrumors anyway?

I was wondering why do Apple bother sending her a iPhone X to unbox or review? You might as well ask the cat.

You have other good youtubers like unbox therapy and others who don’t get a review version yet ijustine somehow manages to get one when she’s irrelevant when it comes to talking tech or reviewing it.
She’s pretty and attracts viewers.

Apple is smart. Like many here have stated, shes got over 5.2 million followers, very easy on the eyes, is passionate about Apple products and does seem genuine. Her videos are fun and have personality.

Most reviews of most products are biased, but most people are too. That's the beauty of YouTube, you follow whatever personality you can relate to.

I found that most reviews of iPhones are pretty pointless since I already watched the keynote, I'm mostly watching MKBHD's channel for the beautiful cinematography and to see how it looks IRL.

You know what else is the ‘beauty’ of YouTube? The option of not out watching any of those tech reviews, which I solely rely on anecdotal hands-on reviews from forum members, not paid critics.

I've never watched any of her videos before but the camera one seemed to be a good showcase of real-world uses. She seems the kind of type who is exhaustingly positive (or plays a character like that on video) and that's played up even more in her videos for entertainment. I think there's still good information value there so dismissing her videos just because she is an attractive woman seems very unfair. Nobody ever seems to rate MKBHD videos based on him being a good looking dude.

There is room for videos like this and I can understand if someone doesn't like that style, just as someone might not care for the ranting style of Unbox Therapy.

There's bias and there's getting paid to only say good things. Everyone always assumes someone who's enthusiastic is being sponsored, but I rarely think that's actually the case when it's a channel I know. If you've followed a YouTuber for a while, you'll know pretty well whether they're full of **** or not. People always assume the worst of course.

iJustine is a fresh take on tech, and she most always has great review value sprinkled throughout each of her videos (especially great is her recent iPhone XS/Max camera review video). Tech has historically been a male-dominated market, and some folks may naturally mistake her beauty and quirky delivery as lack of hardcore information - but they couldn't be more wrong to casually misjudge.

I never think iJustine is sponsored. No way is Apple paying her a dime.
What they are doing is giving her thousands of dollars of tech every month.
And to Apple, it is probably worth every penny.

iJustine often does videos alongside her sister which is quite cool. Think her sister is the camera lady for a lot of her videos.

They wont send it to Unbox based on the "Bend gate" video he produced few years back. Im guessing they black listed him Apple.

Justine appears to be a nice lady and good for her in spotting an opportunity early on with YouTube. She is a good role model in lots of ways and does not put people down despite some hatred towards her. She is a very positive in her outlook and that is something to be admired.

But at the end of the day you want people who are going to be critical and not biased reviewing this stuff otherwise you may as well call it advertising.

You're literally asking why Apple sends her product to review. Do you think Apple's goal is a critical review of their products?

Beyond that, many people find her fun to watch. She is engaging, positive, and personable regardless of what you think of her tech insight. She does not trash products unnecessarily. And she is quite attractive and applies her nail polish carefully (not a small thing for someone displaying tech products).

I do.

She’s a woman. One who talks about technology. Which er, is bad. Or something.

This does seem to be part of it. Beyond that (or maybe related to that), she looks at things from a different perspective than some of the reviewers that seem to be preferred by the hard-core tech crowd. She's interested in the magic of technology, not just the under-the-hood or comparative aspects. Some of us want that, others don't.

Her manicured nails do look really nice. Those are either gel nails or solar nails that comes in different colors of power so she does have to worry about the nail polish peeling or chipping off. She has to be going to a really quality nail salon it’s not your average nail place. That’s for sure.

Actually, I'm pretty sure she bought it, apple didn't send it to her.

In a lot of her video's she actually mentions that she's not sponsored In any way by apple.

Not to mention the amount of hits on her channel earn her a lot of money therefore buying the tech she reviews is not an issue.
And her published book, her acting roles and other TV appearances.
