Yesterday I bought a 2ghz Imac G5. I love it! I will never go back! NEVER!!! What do you think of my setup

A very nice setup. Very neat. Are you in to using GarageBand along with your musical instrument there on the right. You should post more information about yourself in your profile.

Did you earn the money for your iMac? I hope that you will re-consider hacking into computer systems. You realize that it isn't ethical?

Where did you get that desktop picture? It looks great!!

aussie_geek

This is linked more than once in the June Desktops thread, but the image can also be found here, although I'm not exactly sure where.

You can probably get it off a GIS as well, since it seems to be all over the net lately.

I should hope one would educate oneself on legitimate hackers (not media hackers) and their ethics before making such a broad statement.

You might not have a Mac, but you have a nice gaming PC!!! :)

Thanks. I got the PC, now I need the games. They'll come soon. But, just like many PC users, it crashes constantly!! My fault for buying cheap RAM though. I just couldn't turn down 512MB PC 3200 for $55. I figured It'd be good, coming from NewEgg. Also my fault for not taking it out and getting a replacement on the lifetime warranty. :p

You are welcome.

As far as Newegg is consider, a great store doesn't mean great product all the time. The STORE and the PRODUCT are in many cases seperate entities and often unrelated. Newegg is an awesome store, I love doing business there because of decent prices, fast shipping, and close warehouse to where I live. That said, they still carry some of the same sh** that a lot of other places carry. It is still the responsibility of the purchases to be informed and make wise purchases.

True. But, from experience, every time I buy from a big place like that, I don't have trouble, but when I buy from small places that nobody has ever heard of, I have to send it back 3 or 4 times before I get a decent one. I just ASSUMED that it would be good.

Well I shouldn't have to tell you what ASSuming does....and since Newegg isn't really an arse, that really puts the responsibility on you to make the choices :p

Just noticed your TC1000 tablet in your sig, how is that working out for you? I debated getting a tablet early on, but never went through with it. I don't see them being very popular yet (haven't seen many real-world users of them) however on the TV show 24 everyone at CTU uses them, which looks pretty cool and useful under those circumstances. What do you think of it? Battery life?

Yes, but what iHacker originally said was:

Oh ya and i did a litle hack so I can see everyonesdocuments at my school even the teachers. I saw the reportcards 2 weeks in advance. I didn't change anything though.

which I dont think qualifies as a "legitimate hacker"

I would agree, but only because he actually looked at the report card files.

Had he gained access and resisted the temptation, it would've been legit. :)

Sorry -- I just get frustrated quickly with the demonization of the "true" hacker subculture. Blame mainstream media.

Lucky!! Hell, at my school, the rules for using the computers are SO strict. If we even just so much as change the clock, or wallpaper or something like that, we're suspended from using the computer for the REST OF THE YEAR!! And teachers don't really care if your suspended from them or not, if they want that essay typed and on their desk by the end of the day...you're screwed.

I'm 15.

But I'd sure love to know where you go to school. You claim you have the highest grades in class, however your English is quite poor.

Oh, I'm a Hacker too... My last name is Hacker. :p

Finally get to use eMac on the internet!

All you lucky Mac owners get to use your Macs on the internet; i'm wasn't allowed to because my parents had a phobia about it (don't ask). Well our Compaq has finally bit the dust so I am using the eMac right now! Our new Dell arrives in a couple of days, so the family will get to use my wonderful Mac for the next few days. Then my mom will see how much of a mistake she made when she bought the Dell and want to use my eMac! :)

Your last name is Hacker, amazing coincidence. My middle name is ''Hacker'', I wonder if I was named after you at all :p

aussie_geek, you're welcome on the link, my pleasure. Now, if you'll kindly link me to your 20" Cinema and ship it to the following address....that would be super!

Or, you can keep your 20 and buy me a 23 in return for my service, an even better plan :p
