That's a valid argument. I do own both a MacBook and an iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard, and they have different use cases for me.
The MacBook mostly only stays on a desk connected to a Thunderbolt dock and a 27" screen, and then comes to the office with me, where there's the same setup.
The iPad is with me everywhere. On the couch, kitchen table, during trips on a train, it's basically "my bigger iPhone" that I use when an iPhone would be too cramped. And I can also adjust the angle the way I want it, without needing to worry about breaking some MacBook hinge.
The MacBook is more of an office tool for me with all the advanced stuff. The iPad is the "go everywhere, entertainment tablet with a keyboard".
