If the iPad was released by Verizon instead of ATT, would more wifi owners get the Verizon iPad?

I wouldn't have even thought twice about the 3G with Verizon (if it carried the same prepaid option and all that jazz).

If the Virgin Mifi had been available when i ordered i probably would have gone wifi only.

However, now that i have the GPS option, i have uses for it that i wasn't thinking about at the time (I'm doing search and rescue training with Civil Air Patrol - the gps with the map is going to be cool in the backseat of the plane coordinating with a ground crew).

GPS would be hard to give up now that i have it.... but hey, i'm cool with still giving up AT&T! LOL!!

That sounds very cool!

Sorry, I know it's a fun term to throw around but there was no "bait and switch". Anyone that had purchased (or had one on order) by the time the data plans switched had the option of keeping the plan.

I file this under "be careful what you ask for". People have been complaining for years about contracts. When you have a no contract option, that works both ways.
