I’m not doubting there’s a crash. I just don’t think you can necessarily lay it at the feet of the 2020 iMac.glitch and Crash

That doesn't mean there is not a bug in the software, but I think it is the AMD driver. Have you tried it on any other Mac with a Navi GPU?
So not due to the 2020 iMac then.I found some other guys who have similar problems with bands and crashes of this program - all GPUs of the 5xxx series
this means including - 2020 iMacSo not due to the 2020 iMac then.
Now you’re just being obstinate. The software crashes on an entire class of GPU. That seems to be a problem with said software. Regardless, it’s outside of the scope of the glitch that initiated this 500 post thread.this means including - 2020 iMac

It happens randomly. Can't provoke.I'm now also in contact / direct exchange with Apple Germany regarding this issue and should provide screenshots, screen recordings and so one to document the issue. Guess what for the entire session today the glitch didn't show up! Bet once I restart and do not capture the screen the flickering appears within seconds Do anyone of you have a screen recording where it does show up or does it only show up when you record the screen with another camera? I'm also curious how to provoke the iMac to display the glitch as it's near to impossible for me to time or reproduce this issue!
Thankful for any screenshots and videos I can forward to the support team!
Big Sur is currently not compatible with the 2020 iMac.Has anyone installed the Big Sur public beta to see if this issue exists in Big Sur? Perhaps Big sur has newer drivers?
I don't understand why Apple needs us to provide screen recordings and logs, etc.
All they have to do is turn on an iMac with the 5700XT!
I'm convinced it's happening on every machine with the 5700XT. So many people said it wasn't happening on theirs, but then realized it was. It's a fast glitch that happens infrequently.
You probably missed the glitch because you were focused on dunking an Oreo cookie into milk, and weren't looking at the screen (in that brief moment).

I still need to order one more iMac.
Is it safe to say that nobody with a regular 5700 has the horizontal line glitch?
Thank you PieTunes for testing out this display resolution theory. I don't believe you will see the glitch, which is good because if it only happens on the Default Resolution -- it means this is more likely a software glitch and not a hardware glitch.I'm into my third day of dropping the resolution down to 2048 per suggestion by @shywizard and have not seen the flashing white line. Two nights of darkened wallpaper and normal usage and nothing, despite seeing the glitch in similar conditions when at the default resolution. Going to change my wallpaper to something permanently darker vs dynamic to see if it could still be happening during the day but just haven't been seeing it.
The more and more we all seem to be dealing with this and trying different things, the more it does lean towards being software related. Just hope it's something that can be resolved by Apple themselves, or Apple in conjunction with AMD, if that's the case, assuming the latter doesn't sit on their hands for awhile.Thank you PieTunes for testing out this display resolution theory. Nope and I’m on zoom for literally hours/day. I do have a secondary display connected but I am using and looking at zoom on the main display.I was on a Slack video call this morning at work and no probs. Then, later on had a second Slack video call and it was glitching left and right every five minutes like crazy.
Anyone else seeing it during video calls?

I'm the one who's confirmed it. I haven't seen it since connecting my external display.I thought it's been confirmed that the white line glitch is not exhibiting itself at all when a second display is connected? Are you saying:
A) you can still see the white line glitch occasionally with second screen attached (but not necessarily while using Zoom)
or
B) you can't see the white line glitch at all with second screen attached (therefore nor while using Zoom)?
