Here's an interesting effect.

I relocated my AE basestation so that it is behind the iMac in the house, its now under the stairs, almost directly below the room that the iMac is in.

There are now no problems at all with wireless connection, I have the AE set to the g standard, I get 4 bars of reception and no slowdown, plus the iMac finds the network in about 5 secs and doesn't loose it.

I wiped and re-set the iMacs networking yesterday as well, turning off the other ports in the menu as they were all still on, and I reset the Basestation to channel 11.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but having the AE behind the iMac seems to work.

this might help, it helped me. Along with settig IPv6 to "off" => make sure you type in your DNS server.. mine is the same as "ROUTER"... you should probably restart too...
