All answers can be found here - you can also follow the links to some success stories. The number of cables depends on your card and the number of antenna ports - why would you use less or more of them??

While waiting adapter from AliExpress, I bought BCM94360CS (5$) from local Mac repair center, I ask them about antennas, they gift me WIFI Vent Module Antenna for MBP 16’ A2141/817-04043

update: got adapter. BT works on Windows, Mac. Wi-fi working only on windows. Monterey, need some patches? Card recognized, but empty on wi-fi list. BCM94360CS

update2: problem solved by applying "revert root patches"

update3:
-black screen on tv or MacBook via AirPlay when iMac host, haven't options for replay or extension. It's ok when MacBook as host.
-copy-paste not working from iMac, from iPhone, MacBook working well
-iMac try to be unlocked by Apple Watch, but can't do it

How to solve? p.s: 21.5 mid2010, amd M5100, BCM94360CS recognised as 3rd_party in BT, +\- from IRDA port, 3.3v not soldered. @The_Croupier , @Ausdauersportler , help please. Maybe not working correctly cause AMD? Or Need 3.3v? Or need some SIP checkboxes or other settings in OCLP? Once after NVRAM reseting recognized as BCM_20702B0 and Apple Watch unlock, handoff working well, but after rebooting recognised as third party dongle and functions not working well

Good afternoon If I can find instructions for installing this particular adapter and Wi-Fi card, I would be very grateful if you could tell me if I need anything else from what I ordered. Help me please

Hi, how you fix “third party dongle”? after nvram reseting iMac unlocked by apple watch, card recognized as BCM_20702B0. After changing boot drive and reboot - third party dongle, Apple Watch can't unlock

I upgraded my A1311 Mid 2011 21" iMac with a BCM943602CDP card. Everything works on High Sierra . Handoff, bluetooth mouse and keyboard, fast wifi etc.

The only thing is when I install Ventura or Sonoma with OC, the bluetooth doesn't work. WiFi works, just bluetooth doesn't but the Magic Mouse and Keyboard keep connected in "basic mode" I can only use the mouse to click, but not to slide the pages or I can't adjust the brightness or turn the volume up or down either with keyboard buttons.

In the system configuration in Ventura, bluetooth shows disconnected. no device shows connected even though the mouse and keyboard are connected.

Any idea what can I do to fix it?

Try modifying the config.plist of OCLP I use Opencore Configurator with-

NVRAM > 7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82 section in your config.plist file and add the two child items:-

KeyTypeValue
bluetoothInternalControllerInfoData00000000 00000000 00000000 0000
bluetoothExternalDongleFailedData00

Reboot and Reset NVRAM then boot again normally

Hello! I updated my iMac A1311 Mid 2011. I installed these components.
Bluetooth works, but wi-fi is missing!!! What could be the reason! It costs Sonoma with OCLP. The second disc contains High Sierra, but it's the same story.

The question has been removed. Everything went great!!!

Here comes a very cheap and easy solution to avoid cutting the bluetooth cable.
View attachment 2164505
You need a 6p-1mm flip connector for flat cable
View attachment 2164507
Remove the black plastic part and the bluetooth connector fits perfectly

Solder D+ to 3, D- to 4 and 3.3v to 5 from adapter and you have an almost plug and play solution
Does the bluetooth cable actually snap into the socket without wanting to fall out, or does it need to be retained somehow (i.e. glue)?

Hi, it goes from top to bottom of the connector-
Blank
3.3v (brown)
D- (Lilac)
D+ (Grey)
GRN (Black)
GRN (Black)
OK, that definitely clears it up because when I look at the picture and the actual wire, I see the colors differently than you are. The color I see from top to bottom are:

D5-Blank
D2-Red
D4-Purple
D3-White
R15-Gray
D6-Black

Either way, you’ve been a great help, thank you

Hello everyone!

I just have to share my latest DIY project with you! It's absolutely incredible how quick and easy it was. It only took me 5 minutes and the best part: I didn't even have to solder anything! The Name is HZL6000.

I plugged the WiFi cables into the new WiFi card, then the BT extension cable. Then I screwed the WiFi card to the adapter. This also prevents the cables from coming loose. Then screw on the adapter in place of the old WiFi card. Fits perfectly. I removed the old Bluetooth module and pulled the cable back to the new WiFi card. Simply plug it into the connector there. Now plug the BT extension cable into the BT cable wich was onthe old BT module and you're done :)

I got an adapter, a WiFi card and an extension cable for a Bluetooth antenna and tried it out on my iMac 27" 2011 and my wife's 21" 2011. And what can I say? It works perfectly! Both Handoff and AirDrop work flawlessly straight away.

This really is a brilliant solution, especially for older models that could do with a little boost with modern technology. I recommend it to anyone who wants to give their old iMac a little upgrade!

Have fun tinkering with it!

Can you share the link where I would be able to purchase one of these?

I actually found one that’s very similar for a lot less on eBay from this store https://www.ebay.com/str/hotechon?m...uid=A-nqibGdTgK&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I have just bought the kit you posted in that eshop from aliexpress. With a discount it has costed 35€ to me.I have chosen the complete kit, adapter and wifi card for my iMac late 2009.They send you a PDF with clear intructions and no soldering needed. Even they include some heat shrinking tubes to make it more clearance.
Now I am waiting for receiving the kit.
I will tell how it works.

All installed and work perfectly. The installation has been easy. It´s all well docummented in the PDF that the shop sends you when you buy the card and adaptor. In fact, the seller send me the card pre-installed with all the wires connected in their pins.
I haven´t taken any pictures because I forgot by the emotion.I recommend this pack (it is the same that Shaggameister posted a few post above but bought in Aliexpress(same shopper).

upgraded my K3100M iMac12,2 with a BCM943602CS card. It went reasonably smoothly: initially the bluetooth did not work, opened up the iMac and seated the adaptor & card again solved this problem. Then the wifi did not work for Ventura 13.6.9 (worked under win11). re-run the OCLP EFI and patch did not solve the issue until I updated to Ventura 13.7 (22H121).
Now I can connect my AirPods to this iMac, along with some other features using BT 4.0. However it has developed a new problem: The sleep function no longer works. It crashes every time at the start of wakeup. Any idea?

I didn’t have any of these issues, but that’s probably because I went straight to Sonoma
