Where did you get it? Let us know how it is once it arrives. Also how long the warranty is! Congratulations.

With the factory certified option from ipowerresale you can add applecare+ from Apple directly. They seem to get bulk inventory from Apple direct when Apple has excess. It's the best deal currently for the iMac pro.

Thanks everyone. Ended up getting a iMac Pro 32gb that is certified apple refurbished for $3480. Should last me a long time to come! :D
Keep us updated on how the iMac Pro performs!
Also, which retailer did you go with for the refurbished iMac Pro?

Edit: Nevermind I just saw the post before this.

Got it from powerresale. It came with the 1 year factory warranty (I verified) and with the option to get the year 2/3 apple care +. This thing screams compared to my old iMac! Loving it :)

How long did it take to arrive after ordering?

Good decision. Several years later you can crack it up and upgrading with Xeon with more cores. With regular iMac, CPU upgrades are limited to eight cores i9.

It also have better thermal management compared with regular iMac.

It arrived much quicker than they quoted. It was in my hands 2-3 business days after ordering.

Yeah, this definitely has me spoiled!

Some other advantages too of the Pro over the standard iMac that may not have been mentioned is the much improved 1080p web cam, microphones and speakers. Improved thermal cooling for the CPU and GPU. 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports instead of 2. T2 chip.

On top of all that a big one for me is the ability to use the stand or Vesa mount it. You can’t do that cleanly with the regular iMac. Also 10Gb Ethernet built in is a big plus not having to use up thunderbolt bandwidth on an adapter.

How does it look ? Like new ? Apples refurb stuff usually looks pretty much perfect . This price seems too good . I usually only trust direct from apple . I have been bouncing with same decisions . My 2013 iMac I want to upgrade . So its the iMac pro vs i9 mac craziness .

iPowerResale is well respected and known
Thank you , Yeah man I see they show the base iMac pro as
  • Apple® Certified Refurbished. Factory warranty, sealed in box, Eligible for AppleCare+ . Man this is tempting to jump on ! I may have to call in tomorrow .

As am I.. but I do have a great deal for a standard iMac 2017 with i7 and then a Thunderbolt 3 external SSD for a grand less, but I know that there are far too many advantages to going with the Pro over the standard model to make that extra $1K fully worth it

It was completely sealed. Came very quick. I used their eBay store. Factory warranty and ability to add the extended apple plus. This was min condition and looks like new. It was sealed as it would come from apple certified refurbished.

That's great ! I'm waiting to see how this week looks for apple stuff , I keep seeing their refurb store pop up with other configurations . But for that deal it looks good ! Enjoy !

Let me jump in here too. I know what it's like to be on the fence about refurbs Mike.

I am VERY picky when it comes to this stuff. I purchased from ipowerresale as well, came next day (paid for that). They rushed to get it, called me personally 3x to verify address, then shipped.

Confirmed that the purchased was made the day before, activated the 1yr warranty within 5min, then added AppleCare to it for $169. Now I'm covered for 3yrs. The machine was AS NEW just like it came from apple, and essentially it did. iPower resells, remember? Haha. But yeah, it was a $700 savings over the same apple refurb.

I would not hesitate to purchase from them ever again.

You'll be fine for with that for quite a while.

It's a decent spec.

With sound cooling.

ipowerresale iMac pro just went up $300 it was at $3699 ! now at $3999 Somethings up . I was going to pull the trigger after this week for that deal but at this point I may have too wait if my iMac holds up . Thats only 250 difference from right from apple but then also apple charges the tax .

Don't bother unless it's £3k or less. Those prices are money for old rope. 3 year old specs.

You can get a top 2019 iMac for £3600. So why bother getting a refurb iMac Pro for more(?) for anything other than it's more extensive cooling.

When the new iMacs launch (imminent) they'll put the current iMac and the entry iMac Pro in the shade. Probably in performance and price. Saving thousands in the process.

Azrael.
