I am looking for an IMEI unlock for AU KDDI iPhone 4S and 5.

I see a few sites that claim to be able to so Softbank, but no luck on AU KDDI.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

My friend wants to unlock his iPhone 4S which he bought this year. Can he unlock it? He read that you can't unlock any phones that are made in 2013. Is that true?

It depends where you are. In most countries it is perfectly legal.
In 'the land of the free' it was made illegal to unlock any phone bought after 26/01/13 but that is likely to be overturned.

So just making sure, can he do it now or does he have to wait til it's overturn?

I have tried google. I have not found anyone that can do AU, just SB. Any search I do comes up with others looking for the same thing - unlocking an AU iphone.

I am somewhat confused
Au-kddi is a Japanese carrier and can be unlocked from the link I provided.
They also unlock all Australian carriers but kddi is a Japanese carrier.

What, exactly, do you have?

This site does not appear to work at least for AU/KDDI. I followed the instructions and I was not able to complete as there was no means to pay the invoice. I was provided a demo invoice, almost like the site is not complete.

I think you might have been lucky. The site does not look legit on closer inspection - but I could be wrong.

Most dodgy sites make sure they can take your money!

anyone know to unlock Bell and Rogers iPhones?

Not sure if this is old news: you can get direct unlocks from Rogers and Telus after 90 days for $50 and $35 respectively. No need to pay $120+ for 3rd party vendors for Rogers anymore.

I got my Rogers iPhone 5 unlocked directly over the phone. No hassle.

Bell apparently makes you wait 3 years and charges $75.

Edit: support link from official Rogers email confirmation:
