So you're telling me android fans are all specs but when you fight them with specs, all of a sudden it's meaningless? Hahaha pathetic.

It's a given that off-the-shelf chips that android phone makers pick out of a parts bin for their products will give up something to custom Apple silicon tailored to their own OS.

No one should be shocked in the slightest.

Um....these go hand and hand to a degree. Keep that in mind.

The specs directly effect the benchmarks. Period.
To an extent yes. At the end of the day benchmarks don't really factor into the overall experience. It's why I've never paid too much attention to them. It's not why people pick which phone they get.

I agree...and the same can be said with specs. Camera megapixels, etc....all can be very deceiving.

Sure, a lot is what people are used to as well

Even something as simple as removable batteries and a back button. Not sure I could do without that if im honest.

Sorry but until you Apple fanboy's can do 1/3'rd of the things that Android can/allows you to-do, come back and start this thread again. I find it rather amusing people are happy to spend 1000$ + on a device that they personally own and yet are fine with being told what they can and cant do. People will say meh, don't need to-do this/that but in reality you cant tell me you wouldn't be happy if the feature was to come to you guys atleast giving you the option of using it. IR blaster can be incredibly useful, especially when out and about and some crap is stuck on the TV, or if you misplace your remote at home.
How about being forced to use iTunes? Wouldn't you like the option of being able to download a song and import it into your music player without being forced to use iTunes? Or how about edit album art/mp3 tags without using iTunes/resyncing?
How about downloading torrents/nzbs?
How about using an app like Tasker? so you can automate literally everything, that literally brings so many new things to the table that make you appreciate Android so much more.... Love being able to have Wi-Fi automatically turn on/off when entering/leaving home based on which cell towers your phone is connected too.
Or how about sending music/videos to your friends phone via bluetooth/nfc/wireless? AirDrop is good and all if all you want to transfer is pictures lol...
How about blocking those annoying ad's that plague surfing the internet? So very annoying those ads are..

Either way do what makes you happy. Just for me, Android is a clear winner in my books. I owned an iPhone 6+ but just could not get over the severe limitations they force you to live with, especially considering you legally own the device and spent a fair sum to buy it outright. Ended up giving it to my mother as a gift (she has been using 4S since it came out), and preordered the Note 4 the same night for myself.

Um... Actually yes. There is no other way to compare the raw power of a chipset.

To deny that Apple makes one of the best soc in the mobile system is to be ignorant.

And to address a previous poster... Yes the 6+ bested the G3 in multitasking and speed.

All you have to do is look up a few YouTube videos between the iPhone 6 and competing flag ships.

Android aggressively closes background task as well, since a few versions ago. The two systems may multitask differently, but that doesn't make one markedly superior to the other.

And if the screens were flipped opposite, ifans would cry over a handicap. The way a lower score due to a better screen is overlooked is mind boggling.

I seen plenty of those multitasking comparison videos and they were absolute trash. I couldn't even duplicate the slowness and constant refreshes on my almost outdated S4 and my Nexus 7 unless I mess with the settings under developer options. Android does not aggressively close background tasks.

Alrighty. I'm sure your test was more accurate.

The Sunspider test on Note 4 is baffling, considering I just got 448 on the Galaxy Alpha.

AirDrop does more than pictures bud...

Anyway, have the feature toy list are appealing to a limited number of people.

Other negative you list are pluses in other peoples books.

I'm undecided between six plus and note four. This thread is overly biased, so I play the other side.

Samsung browser or chrome? Chrome is slower typically on this, and Samsung browser is oddly fast.

PhoneArena may have used chrome.

When did benchmarks = specs?

You fail bad at trolling.

So what are specs for then? Oh no, not for performance benchmark is it?

----------

Shhhh don't get him too much confusion...

Zomg I'm so confused, enlighten me master.

I was going to post something similar. It's two sides of the same coin. You can't expect people to stop posting benchmark results until people stop boasting about specs. Otherwise it's the pot calling the kettle black.

Lulz I know, nailed it

Excuse me sir, what multitasking are you talking about? I have never seen a single iPhone do true multi tasking.

Quote from a website:
iOS does not allow true multitasking for third party apps. iOS only allows certain APIs to run in the background, such as audio streaming and push notifications. An app stops running the instant the user switches to another app. Apple gives their own apps multitasking abilities that other apps are not allowed to use, which can cause confusion on this topic.

This thread is about benchmarks not specs.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know specs aren't intended for performance... I should've known specs mean diddly squat because it's not for performance..Silly me

Um....these go hand and hand to a degree. Keep that in mind.

The specs directly effect the benchmarks. Period.

Thank you, I'm confuse with these comments lol

Yeah I can appreciate what your saying mate, personally for me though when it comes to transferring things to my friends phones the thing that is more often wanted is music/video transfers, not pictures/contacts/webpages although they are useful!

True.

The ability to transfer music and videos would be a great addition.

I primarily use spotify, but I can see the advantage.

Yep Spotify is great, I use it also =p
I believe Apple's intentions when it comes to not allowing music/video's being transferred via AirDrop is purely money orientated, they want you to buy the content via iTunes.. which is extremely annoying.
