Well, idolization is a whole different thing in itself.

Aren't you fun to try to logic with. Does C DM somehow stand for Red Herring? :)

Not talking idolization, just talking about how much of a difference one person can make, and apparently only that one person. Apparently only Steve Jobs was able to output things that were so fun and easy to use and appealing to the customer while also sticking rigidly to Apple's design fundamentals, since apparently none of the smart people left at Apple now can recognize the mediocrity of their UI's. Their current fascination of prioritizing grayness and circles and similararity of appearance over an intuitively functional and efficient UI is, in the least case, just a lot less attractive and fun to use, but too often is way more confusing and cumbersome to use.

The only reason I keep beating a dead horse here is not to try to convince you of anything, kind sir, but hoping somebody at Apple here reads this and somehow wakes up.

Many many other threads over the years that were much longer and much more to the point about it all have certainly gotten somewhere.

They unfortunately haven't gotten to Tim & Jony Ive's ears.

The first one, duh! You couldn't even copy and paste. iOS7 ushered in the era of flat icons and a much cleaner UI so I don't know what all the complaints are about. It's funny how most of the votes are for the recent releases, no one seems to remember how much it used to suck in comparison.

Think it kind of depends on the device used at the time too. For me, it was iOS 4 because it ruined my iPhone 3G which ran excellently on iOS 3. Even downgrading back to iOS 3 didn't fix the problems, the lag, freezing, and crashing were somehow permanent and I had to deal with it for like six months. I learned after that to never upgrade to a new version until reviews/complaints come in for a few months. Besides that, I can't think of ever having a problem. iOS 5+6 were great on my 4S but I did miss out on 7-8 after switching away so they might have sucked.

On the other hand, I love iOS 10. It somehow made my iPad Air faster and smoother, and works perfectly on my iPhone 7+. If it just had a file manager to make managing downloaded documents and other files easy it would be perfect.
