People voting iOS 6 are totally clueless lol. It was easily the best release. Maps can't be blamed on iOS 6 because the data was coming from online, not stored locally. Technically iOS 6 map data nowadays is the same as iOS 10's.
Yeah, because you didn't have issues with iOS 6 everyone else is clueless

"The ios6 is a joke.... Apple keep saying there is no problem with the ios6, I have lost hundreds of photos , music games apps films worth a total of £100 and they are doing nothing..... They keep saying to me that they need an order number, but there isn't an order number as they and not in my history.... Am now been told that I haven't been billed for things .... They are a f**king joke.... I have tried resting and downloading from the iCloud which isn't working ... Tried uninstalling apps.... Not working.... They don't seem to be bothered about there problem with the ios6...... Time to move away from apple all together”

“The problem is not Ios 6 but with the new apple corporate culture. Ios 6 is a total disaster that exposed apples willingness to handcuff users to an irreversible and often terminal download that has destroyed many iphones and ipads with Battery drain{ 3 hour battery life} , bluetooth problems, locations services problems, and hazard to navigation apple maps. A few minutes spent on Apple Support groups reveals multitudes of astonished loyal apple users being disabused and lied to at every level of Apple Support. Every new system has problems but Apple failure to be transparent about these problems and failure allow users to return to a functional operating system is a new low in corporate corruption.”

iOS 10... Never in my life I had to restart my phone so often due to battery erratic levels.

Regretted upgrading from iOS 9, it was mostly trouble free.

Definitely iOS 7!
It was so slow in animations and still, you can't interact while animations even in iOS 10!

"I disagree with your statement on iOS devices." <--- like that.
His direct quote was:
"iOS 10, and specifically 10.2, has been the buggiest experience I've ever had with an iOS device."
Therefore he was specifically talking about his experience with an iOS device and therefore you can't really disagree with him on what his experiences have been. If he had said something along the lines of:
"iOS 10, and specifically 10.2, has been the buggiest version of iOS"
Then it would make sense to disagree with him if your experience has been different.
I personally haven't had any issues with iOS 10 (any version) on any of my iOS devices, but that doesn't mean others, including TonyC28, haven't had issues on their iOS devices.

iOS 6 was terrible. I had my iPhone 4s for the first year with minimal issues but within the first few months of upgrading to iOS 6 I gave up on Apple. I sold it and bought an HTC One m7.

*edit* it was terrible on my iPad mini as well.

I am not entirely sure if it was with iOS 7 but there was one update which bricked the phone function on iPhone 5's. Apple fixed this within 24 hours or so but that was a hard knock. A smartphone which cannot make phone calls. :p

iOS 10 runs pretty smooth on my iPhone 6 except a couple of hiccups: Music sometimes takes its time to start playing. Sometimes the phone doesn't react to touching or the homebutton. I press the standby button twice and it will react then.

As I've got more problems from 10 than any other iOS ever, is this new 10.2.1 update going to correct any of the dozen problems I have already stated on this thread for the 5S or give me a few new ones. And wind me up even more. Anybody?

Given that it seems that many others aren't having all the same issues it would likely be hard to say what it would be like for you given that previous iOS 10 updates didn't result in many of those issues for others. Given that you are having more issues already and you are already on iOS 10, it seems like it would probably be worth it to get the update to see if that resolves at least some of them for you.

Ios7!

Since iOS7, the focus from Apple seems to be on the New vs. fixing the existing. This has always been there however with 7 it became a given. 8 was better than 7, 9 was better than 8, 10 was better than 9. Still, it's the little things. Death of a thousand cuts.

MO YMMV

Yup!

Apple had to make a change, ios 6 and earlier were really looking dated.

So what happens when ios7 is called dated? The fact that Apple & some customers truly believe that a New Way of Doing Things is better than a Best Way of Doing Things is still astounding to me. I dread to see what's created should Apple decide that the current iOS 7-descendent look & function is dated and needs replaced. Actually, my bigger fear is actually that we will be stuck with this current UI as long as Jony Ive is in place and surrounded by Tim Cook and the Yes Men who allowed it to perpetuate this long. Can anyone imagine King Jony allowing a shift a shift back toward the more intuitive and much more enjoyable to use and look at iOS 6-esq UI under his selfish watch, admitting he was wrong in 2013? I can't.

Before Jony Ive assumed the lead influence over software and UI design, the Best Way of Doing Things was unquestionably the way to go, and people walked on their legs. After Jony Ive, people were forced to walk on their hands, something new and different. When this is deemed old and boring, what's next -- rolling on our sides, or Jony Ive letting us walk on our legs again?

IOS 7 was released prematurely. It really only became good on 7.1 which released around 6 months later.
Apple should have waited a bit.

What is the difference between the "new way" and "Best way"? Whose yardstick is being used to measure this and which customers are you referring to? Essentially some(mostly) hyperbole in this post as I can tell.

And IOS 6 was dated, but that's just my own opinion.
